I'm working with Sony Vegas Pro 8 to encode the vids. It has a built-in MP4 codec to export clips. For 640x480 vids I usually use an average bitrate of 1.4 MBit, for high-res vids (e.g. ETV) up to 2 MBit, Sometimes I add brightness/contrast or HSL filters to improve colours and a sharpen filter for SSTV vids. |
