Just to let you know it seems "Fileserve" is back for new accounts it seems as franc28 posted a working link.
[Versteckter Link - Registrierung notwendig] But also for older accounts you still get this result for downloading older files like mine. [Versteckter Link - Registrierung notwendig] So to those who are thinking of using them be aware that the files may be classed as copyright at a later date as the recordings are from TV, so may well be deleted and your account suspended. |

Millions and millions of people used and still using the files shares and the other sharing programs in order to capture and obtain everything they want ."They" are dinosaurs. For a long time they didn't take for serious what was going on. It took long time until they started fighting against P2P, after they accused masses of P2P file sharers except of optimists who continued many went to bit torrent. After bit torrent uploaders could be caught same as P2P the uploaders went to the file hosts. While the "dinosaurs" celebrated their victory about P2P and Bit torrent, also the mass of the people took longer to notice of the file hosts either. So everything seemed to be fine. - If it was legally difficult to stop this …..there hadn't been such another technical ways in order to prevent this horrible disaster from destroying all the production companies .I think they under estimated it for a long time and concentrated on catching P2P and Bit torrent uploaders who are rather easy to catch, and with the fines they also had a lucrative business. But due to this P2P ans Bit torrent started to fade. In parallel gradually the file host business got a mass phenomenon and "They" noticed either. They tried to force the file hosts to cooperate, some as Rapidshare and Hotfile did, but others didn't. Here we come to Megaupload: Megaupload topped this, they started an open campaign against the big music labels, and even worse than file sharing they wanted to offer a platform for independent musicians to earn money. Compared to any kind of file sharing this is a real threat for "Their" core business. Besides the revenue with sold CDs go down and the increasing number of paid downloads doesn't fully compensate this they still earn quite some money with the tours of their artists. But if they lose the artists there's nothing left to sell. Keep in mind that I am still strongly believe that " they " were able to stop this from the beginning .......but they leave it to grow up ....why ....because they really wanted to leave it . Remember, they are dinosaurs, it takes them long to start moving, but once they are in motion they steamroll everything what doesn't sidestep. They still have enough money and influence to buy any government they want. But actually they are cheapskates, with the republican government they didn't have that willing henchmen. But just a question...whom " they " are ...?I think "They" are the music and film industry, with kino.to the film industry had the lead, with megaupload mainly the music industry. Anyway the game won't stop, only the court and some rules will change. In the 80's audio and video cassettes have been copied, in the 90's CD's with music and films have beed copied, and in the 2000's files with music and films. At first on CDs and DVDs, then P2P, then Bit torrent, then file hosts. Even If "they" manage to eliminate most of the sharing by file hosts something new will come up. As "They" know the internet is the biggest platform to connect people they try to influence the governments under lead of the U.S. to establish legislation (SOPA, PIPA, ACTA) to fully control internet users. The Democrats are willing henchmen for any economical interest of U.S. industry anyway, and the European governments see their chance to establish an infrastructure for censorship. At least in Germany the government already managed to phase mass media, so the internet is the last remaining threat for the control of the public opinion. Now the government only needs a nice plot to make the steak appear tasty for the cow, there Megaupload seems to be a good chance. If Kim Schmitz weren't ugly, fat, rich and a known criminal they would have had to invent him to get sympathy of the masses for the actions against "piracy" (also a politically misused term, pirates kill seafarers and blackmail shipping companies, a copyright violation doesn't even threaten or physically hurt anyone) Regards Joker |

Finally " they " wake up and found out that everything you want is available through the internet ….movies , music , games , books , programs , ETC . Millions and millions of people used and still using the files shares and the other sharing programs in order to capture and obtain everything they want .
Many questions have been raised during the dramatical shift over the last week : - So , Why they wait all these long , long , long years ……were they really unable to prevent this continuous piracy from the beginning . - If it was legally difficult to stop this …..there hadn't been such another technical ways in order to prevent this horrible disaster from destroying all the production companies . Keep in mind that I am still strongly believe that " they " were able to stop this from the beginning .......but they leave it to grow up ....why ....because they really wanted to leave it . But just a question...whom " they " are ...? In fact I really don't know... ![]() While I am Still wondering......I finally realized that the old game has over ....and now it's time to change the rules of the game . |

A few points of interest.
I've heard rumours that paypal are giving money back to those who have recently bought premium accounts with filesonic, so if you have done so, may be worth heading into your paypal account and trying for a refund. The same may also now apply with fileserve as they have also suspended their sharing. Oron still seems to be working OK, though I have noticed some files uploaded just recently are no longer available. That could be Oron removing them, or could be the uploader has removed them after these last few days events. Mediafire is supposedly still OK, but I know many people were having difficulty accessing their accounts the last couple days. Again, it's not clear why, could be MF checking content, or could just be an increase in traffic as more people start using them. I also hear depositfiles are still OK, but I tend to avoid them anyhow, they are pretty awful for free users. Rapidshare is still business as usual. They have gone through the process of 'cleaning' their system already, and are pretty sharp on removing content, so are not so affected by any of this. Personally, I stopped using RS a while ago as their constant changing of account structure meant I lost all my files I had with them, but obviously your mileage may vary. They are certainly starting to look like a safer bet now. Be warned though that it seems likely that all the file sharers will start being more aggressive about filtering content on their servers. The vids we make of the babe channels may be legitimate, but the very nature of them means that they may fall foul of the filtering mechanisms these companies may put in place. In general, recorded tv shows are pirated material, and our vids may get caught in that trap and be removed automatically. munch |

switchblade123 wrote:This is a pretty messed up situation, I mean they don't care about the people who pay to share non copyrighted material like sites like this. last weekend one of the mfc models complained about the MU mess because she hosted all her vids on MU. she sells her own vids on mfc and of course are all these vids gone, too. nice to see that the f**king FBI and the US government are able to kiss the arses of the big companies while they are kicking the arses of the small persons at the same time. |

This is a pretty messed up situation, I mean they don't care about the people who pay to share non copyrighted material like sites like this. Most of the file hosting sites like Filesonic and Fileserve are quick to take down copyrighted materials and this should be the limit to fighting such things. A small taste of things to come if the bill gets passed. Could this little internet spark be the Doomsday countdown the Mayans where talking about?....hahaha ok that's going a little too far, but this does suck.

nandi wrote:Please, could you inform me, if you had success? I am in the same situation. this progress takes some time and if it takes 15-30 days it'll be probably too late to ask for getting your money back. just go your PayPal account and the MU payment and klick to get your money back. you'll fill one website with what has happened, the reason and how much of your money you want back. that's all but the result will take some time. so do it as soon as possible before the 45 days are offer. I guess you cannot loose more than the money you've paid already. |

another article with an updated list of gone-with-the-wind hoster:
[Versteckter Link - Registrierung notwendig] maybe an interesting add in this short sentence: If you purchased premium account at either of mentioned services in past 45 days through PayPal, I recommend raising a claim and requesting money back. I've wasted in december the last time some money for 6 month MU and I'll try to get my money back. ![]() |

There's been said so much about PIPA/SOPA but it seems that in the recent shitstorm and massive file hosting closing show we (Europeans) are forgeting about [Versteckter Link - Registrierung notwendig]. I don't know about situation in other countries but here in Poland lots of government sites are being DDOS'ed.
Polish Internet went supernova when three days ago it was announced that our government was going to sign ACTA. First came the official statement from our President’s bureau, in which Poland was supposedly achieving great international success by catching up with the world standards of copyright protection. We were to sign ACTA on January 26. This was registered by a few niche websites, and went for the most part unnoticed by the mass media. Bloggers and youtubers started to dig into the subject, research the legislation itself and post comments so that more people would get interested. We were caught totally off-guard, but luckily, the Internet stood up to the challenge: in the next 24 hours, literally hundreds of thousands of people started to speak out, write letters to our government, organize protests, record videos and hype the thing up. I guess it's time to spam our senators and member of parliament emails boxes. I sure will. Ps. I'm taking a vacation from posting any content until the situation will clarify. |
