Recording Virgin Media to my pc

Hi guys,

I'm hoping one of you tech guys can advise?

Theres a programme coming up on TVX Brits that I want to record.

But I have Virgin Media tv, with a tivo box (and an old video still attached)

So theres no problem getting membership for a day / week / month and seeing the programme, and I can record it...

but does anyone know how I can get a digital copy?
ie is there a way to copy a digital file from the tivo box to pc?

(I know I can record to vhs and then convert, but that usually involves a considerable deterioration in quality)

Or the other alternative would be to record from an internet stream, but it seems the tvx website is no use as it doesn't stream the daily tv schedule, it just has films - so does anyone know if theres anywhere else that streams TVX / Redhot tv output that I could record with Replay / Jaksta?

anyone have any ideas?

I'm still recording to dvd and then converting to pc (and for some reason losing the sound on the way) but I do have contacts with virgin & TVX...
I'll give it a try.

if tvx have a live stream its behind there paywall, if thats the case accessing it without paying could at the very least get you blocked from all there content at the worst land you in court.
