the podium of the last three Brazil GP(Interlagos – circuit Carlos Pace)
2010 1. Sebastian Vettel Red Bull- Renault 2. Mark Webber Red Bull- Renault 3 Fernando Alonso Ferrari fastest lap on race: Lewis Hamilton McLaren-Mercedes 2009 1 Mark Webber Red Bull- Renault 2. Robert Kubica BMW-Sauber 3. Lewis Hamilton McLaren-Mercedes fastest lap on race: Mark Webber Red Bull- Renault 2008 (last race of the season) 1 Felipe Massa Ferrari 2. Fernando Alonso Renault 3. Kimi Räikkönen Ferrari 4. Sebastian Vettel (3 years ago driving a Toro Rosso) 5. Lewis Hamilton McLaren-Mercedes (world champion after an incredible finish) fastest lap on race: Felipe Massa Ferrari will be the 39° edition of Brazil GP (in 1972 was held a race does not valid for the F1 championship) Until now 28 editions at Interlagos(this year will be 29) and 10 editions at Jacarepagua (last time was in 1989) The Interlagos circuit is one of the most challenging and exciting circuits on the F1 calendar. The circuit consists of a blend of high and slow speed corners, with gradient changes. The surface is irregular and full of bumps. The circuit runs anti-clockwise, so races are particularly hard for the drivers, also due to heat and humidity. At the beginning of the lap, the cars approach the “S do Senna”in downhill. Other famous corners are: Curva do Sol, Subida do Lago, and the Ferradura. Probably one of the most difficult curve on the circuit. Then in the mid-section we find a few slow corners and and a tight hairpin, while in the final sector there are three left corners: Junção, Subida do Boxes, followed by Arquibancada, a long and very fast curve. Finally a good track. Unforgettable was the Brazilian Grand Prix of 1991. Ayrton Senna battles through mechanical trouble(in the last laps he had only the sixth gear) and rain to take an emotional win in front of him home crowd. Look at the video of the last lap with the comment in the Brazilian language. When Ayrton passed under the checkered flag, as usual, begins the music "tema da vitoria" and you can hear his screams of joy; finally, for the first time, wins the home Grand Prix. An entire Nation celebrated his hero. Another memorable edition was that of 2008(last GP of the season). Massa wins the race and believed to be world champion, but a few corners before the finish, Hamilton overtakes Timo Glock, arrives in fifth place and becomes the new world champion for only one point in the standings. Last lap: Hamilton 1 min 29 sec (hard wet tyre) last lap Glock 1 min 48 sec (dry soft tyre). Chaotic and unusual was the edition of 2003, after a wet race full of surprises. When the GP was stopped in the first instance was given the victory to Raikkonen by a mistake. A few days after the FIA noticed the error and gave the victory to Fisichella. The medium(white) and the soft(yellow) tyre will be used as “prime” and “option” respectively. FIA decided single DRS zone for Brazilian Grand Prix. After turn three on the back straight. |

interlagos circuit
Interlagos is an upper class neighborhood located in the city of São Paulo, Brazil. It includes the Autódromo José Carlos Pace race track, home of the Formula One Brazilian Grand Prix. Its name (adapted from Interlaken, Switzerland) comes from the fact that the region is located between two large reservoirs, Guarapiranga and Billings, built in the early 20th century to supply water and electric power to the city. The suburb of Interlagos is located in the south region of São Paulo City to the right edge of the Guarapiranga reservoir. The Autódromo José Carlos Pace itself is still commonly called Interlagos, although this hasn't been its official name since the 1970s. The history of the Interlagos circuit dates back to the 1920s, when the city of São Paulo was undergoing a process of fast urbanization. LRGP hasn't good situation with drivers. For you, who can be on Petrov's seat? Yes, we have 4 candidates (Senna, Kubica, Petrov, Grosjean) and only 2 seats: - first is reserved for Kubica, but we are not sure about his return (he had next "last operation" 2 weeks ago). Boullier told if he won't be back on the start of 2012 season, he will be replaced by Grosjean.- second is free (place for paydriver), but Senna has worse results than Petrov. I'm not fan of Petrov, but I think Boullier hasn't better solution for his team. |
