HI Guys,
Dymchurch is a small village on the Coast about 8km East of Lydd!!
A tourist place!! A good safe Beach, Restaurants very good childrens entertainment!
excellent pubs and ample car parking,,, there are several static mobile home parks for
family holidays! The Little Train also has a Station in the village!!
Dr.Synn (Aka the Scarecrow) a well known Romney Marsh Highwayman, is said to have lived there!!
A festival is held annually to remember him!! an excellent fun day and evening!!
Dymchurch gets very busy in the summer months due to its excellent facilities!!
Once again, just my own insight of my small world,,,This will be my last of 4 insights!!

Magnificent landscapes Zhangye Danxia National Geological Park

The main attraction here is the unique and beautiful mountainous terrain Zhangye Danxia National Geological Park

HI Guys,
Hythe is a middle sized Town 12km East of Lydd, There are Sea Defences dating from times
of Napoleon. Martello Towers dotted along the coastline, stone towers about 10mtrs tall, usually with
a canon placed on the flat top!!
A man made Canal "The Royal Military Canal" also runs through and around the Town!!
It boasts a small shopping area, without traffic!
A pleasant Beach, with fishing boats which are kept and launched from the beach!!
A Venetian Fete takes place annually on the canal, fun day for all
Hythe is also the other terminus of the Little Railway to Dungeness!!
There is also a strong Military presence in the area!!
A very nice place to live, and to visit!!
This again is my insight into another small part of my World

HI Guys,
The Ancient Walled and Towered Town of Rye is 10kms west from Lydd!!
It dates back to the early 1100's Norman's were in residence then!! the oldest Inn "The Mermaid" dates from about 1107
and is now a Restaurant and popular Hotel!!
The Town has a small fishing fleet, but main income is now Tourism ,a very popular destination!!
The Sea used to reach right up to the wall of the Town,,,,In 1437 a massive storm struck,,,Causing the River Rother to
change course, and the Sea to recede Rye is some 4kms from the Sea now!!
I used to deliver milk in the area in the 1990's!! Photos of me and my milk van were in many Japanese photos then!!
Sir Paul McCartney lives near by!!
The Town has Pubs, Restaurants and Antique shops plus Gift shops as well, how times change!!not always for the best!!
