If I have something uploadet, a download is like a thanks for me,
if nobody downloads, also good.(A Thanks-Button is only an "polite" add-On)

The web is for fun(and/or wisdom), not for profit, my Oppinion!

Not all are here to be thanked thats for sure, but in this case it as another purpose as well, it's nice to be thanked regardless and no money changes hands when pressing it.

Here's another reason for pressing the button Smile

If a member decides to thank/like every post that is on the forum we will consider that abusing the VIP choices so will be ignored if and when they decide to contact us for upgrade to VIP.

The rest of those options can be found [Versteckter Link - Registrierung notwendig] Smile

PS. this as always been an option and not forcing people to use it Smile

(As i once registered here, the thanks Button has not worked over an half year!!!
So why rely on an not correctly working technology(JavaScript)?!?)

I upload some files ( 15 hours 52 minutes ), and I saw a very interesting thing. 15 members like my post and 49 + 77 members download these files ( 18 hours 45 minutes ). I looked at my other posts and same results. I know i'm not a to good videomaker, but if you do not like it do not have to download. I hope i did not hurt anyone. But it is quite disappointing to me Confused. ( Maybe I'm a stupid idealist. )

The forum is still fluted with stupid idealists! Searching for sense is just a one way ticket, who big an ego can grow.
Same like anybody wallets are made of endless volume.
So your not alone.

I'd say that more than 10% is very good (cannot remember a 20% thx-rate Confused), between 5-10% is normal and less than 5% is bad although these vids have often a very good download counter but obviously only a few have eggs to give a Thx for e.g. a Lilian vid.
thus is genya's Thx ratio quite good. Smile

Dont be too disappointed, genya, a thx-rate somewhere between 5 and 20 percent is typical.
We have discussed this many times, but it has never changed significantly.

Your videos are very nice and maybe take the number of downloads as an indication of how popular they are.Thumb up

Is there a certain debouncing time? Sometimes I click on it and nothing happens, clicking again and it works.
As I only have this issue with the "Like" button here I can pretty much exclude a problem of my mouse keys.
Actually this is issue isn't really new with me, it just took me some time to figure out it wasn't my forgetfulness.

Funny you should say that, as I've had the same problem ever since I joined. I click the thanks button and it doesn't register the first time. Even if it does register, I've come back to the page and found my thanks didn't register after all. I've just put up with it, as I assumed it was a glitch with Javascript on my system. But it would seem I'm not the only one after all.

but i click till it worksCoolBig Grin
Most likely it is a server issue. A "like" will have to be processed just like any other link you click. We all know the site is terribly slow sometimes,
thats why also the "like" recacts only with a certain delay.
