Re: technical problems

hi guys,

I've noticed that over the last few weeks whenever I open the Liveshow site my stream recorder is downloading at least 3 files each time.
All files are called: Bongacams Dynamic Banner.webm
and according to jaksta the source is: [Versteckter Link - Registrierung notwendig] or similar (ie [Versteckter Link - Registrierung notwendig]
they vary in size 400-600KB

I've never been on bongacams and certainly not these girls.

I've run malwarebytes a few times but its not picked anything up and its still happening

Can anyone advise if this is ok? ie is it embedded in the Liveshow homepage? I don't remember it before, but the homepage used to open with a stream player playing so I guess its the same - but if so, is there any way to stop it?

Alternatively do you think I've got a virus?

cheers

Re: technical problems

So I'm guessing I'll the first one to mention this publicly, the forum appears to have a glitch, the entire top menu has suddenly vanished, the forum can still be accessed using the shortcut under where the banner once was Blush Perhaps the great wizard could work his magic again and shake his wand Smile

Re: technical problems

I can also confirm that youtube videos are now displaying on the forum Thumb up

The great wizard must have worked his magic behind the scenes despite admin not logging into this forum for over a year! Blush

Yes funny you should say that, out of curiosity I had a look at this forum on my samsung galaxy 5 and the youtube videos displayed without any issues, however if you are viewing this forum on a smartphone you won't be able to view the youtube videos directly on this site, you will instead be redirected so this might explain the inconsistency. Glad that 3 of us have now confirmed the glitch in the forum. Admin if you are reading this Thread then you know exactly what you need to do.

Or we'll have to be content with only links...
Video does not appear in any topic Sad Sad

Your laptop isn't guilty, I have the same problem with YouTube, for example here:
[Versteckter Link - Registrierung notwendig]

flv fix screws up audio sync, overwrites timecodes.

Never time fix original file, do it on a copy first.

88Mb>85Gb file
Jaksta converted file (ffmpeg) using different video codec contained in new flv file
(When you stopped jaksta, FFmpeg continued running)

thanks Shirtful - I always fix on a copy, so I still have the original at 88mb - it was recorded using rtmp (not jaksta) a couple of days before
generally only use fix flv on some mfc streams where the time & audio are wildly out on the original (which I also dont understand why some are ok & some not)
but as soon as you mention ffmpeg, I'm lost...

thanks for the replies anyway guys - down to experience

Re: technical problems

I had a media catcher from Jaksta installed on an old laptop years ago and found it embedding stuff like that.
I say stay sway from Jaksta

Re: technical problems

here's a poser for the techies on here...
I made a short flv stream recording (88MB) that was broken and wouldn't play - the meta data said it was 0 secs long
so I tried to fix it using Jaksta fix flv function, setting the timestamp to 15 - it ran & ran but never completed, so I cancelled, renamed the file to try again some other time and deleted from jaksta
a short time later my laptop gave me a warning of low disk space which was unexpected as I had a good clear out a few days ago and should have had over 100GB
I cleared the recycle bin & that gave me 20GB back but there was still a big discrepancy so I searched through my C drive and found that the 88MB flv file that I'd cancelled out of fixing had become an 85GB flv file! (it should only have been about 3 minutes long!)
I've been using jaksta for a few years and use the fix flv function quite often to adjust duration / timestamps but I've never known it change the file size - I know that doing something like changing format (ie flv to mp4) gives a different file size, but this was just changing the timestamp so it might change the length of the video but I don't understand how it can increase the file size, especially by a factor of 1000?
Obviously I deleted it so I have my disk space back and don't have a problem but I wondered if anyone might know why it happened?

Re: technical problems

Any further information on the persisting technical problems on this forum, I'm fed up getting hit with No database connection errors all the time aswell as yet again not being able to send PM's and no doubt it'll be yet another issue when I try to upload caps and videos. Perhaps Admin or the Boardmod could give us all an answer as to what appears to be going on exactly. Thank you.

Re: technical problems

Cheers yaznee for the offer Smile the problem seemed to be with my 2nd batch of caps so I edited the post again, was able to put in the 6 caps from session 1 in and will maybe try later to put the other 5 in, at the end of the day the main thing for me was getting the upload links posted, I only really look at caps as decoration as its not truly essential to the post.

PS - Some members on other forums which I used to post on seem to think caps are the be all and end all, I'll name no names but thank fuck this forum isn't flooded to fuck with millions of nasty, oversized same position caps Lol Big Grin
