Re: Formula 1 General Chat & Discussion

the podium of the last 2 Montreal GP (Canada)

2010
1 Lewis Hamilton Mc Laren-Mercedes
2 Jenson Button Mc Laren-Mercedes
3 Fernando Alonso Ferrari
fastest lap on race: Robert Kubica Renault

2009 no race here in that season

2008
1 Robert Kubica BMW Sauber
2 Nick Heidfeld BMW Sauber
3 David Coulthard Red Bull
fastest lap on race: Kimi Räikkönen Ferrari

Hamilton has won also in 2007 and Alonso in 2006
M.Schumacher has won 7 times on this track and 5 times in second place

Circuit Gilles Villeneuve - Montreal (formerly called the Ile Notre-Dame Circuit) at the inaugural race on this track in1978, Gilles Villeneuve(the most famous Canadian driver) scored his first victory in Formula One; in 1981 he drove his Ferrari with the front wing damaged, before losing it. was incredible.
in 1982 after his death, the circuit was renamed to honour this unforgettable champion.
Gilles Villeneuve won only six races in his career, but for those who saw him race in F1, like me, is a inimitable pilot for his courage and his style of driving. His son (Jacques) has never won on the track dedicated to his father, but he became world champion in 1997.
the circuit is a stop-start combination, slow corners and chicanes linked by long straights,
The FIA will allow the DRS to be used twice in race conditions starting from Canadian Grand Prix. (if the circuit layout allows it) Drag Reduction System will be available both on the back straight and on the start/finish straight in Montreal. There will be two DRS zones also for the European Grand Prix at Valencia, which follows the Canada race. During practice and qualifying, the moveable rear wing is always allowed.
In Canada, the soft(yellow) and the supersoft(red) tyre will be used as “prime” and “option” respectively: just as is the case in Monaco.
tyre wear: high
last year there were 61 pit stops, an average of 2.5 per car, but with Bridgestone

Re: Formula 1 General Chat & Discussion

The FIA has decided that the Bahrain GP will be made up for at the 30th October.
The Bahrain GP which was planned as Season Start at the 13th March was because of political unrest cancelled.

It was quite similar to Karl Wendlinger's crash in 1994. He drove a Sauber too.

Sergio Perez was aware, conscious, alert Thumb up and he spoke with the doctor Thumb up ,the only thing that he has ...at the moment when this is written ...that he only has a headache and that he wanted to drive again tomorrow Thumb up .. he has to spend a hole night in hospital and they will do a complete check-up but we will be honaust...Confused after sutch a crash it's doubtfull that we will see him in his car ...so tomorrow we only will see one Sauber on the track !
