Shanghai circuit(Chinese GP) – First edition 2004
This circuit is similar to others designed by Tilke. There are 16 corners of varying types and two long straights. The downforce level is medium-high. Tyre: Medium(white stripe) and Soft (yellow stripe). The same combination as last year although of course all the tyres are softer and faster in this season. The track surface is smooth and not much abrasive therefore the strategy will be on two or three pit stops. Key points for tyres are the curves 1 and 13, which leads into a very long straight. The Shanghai Gran Prix is the third race of the 2013 season and Sebastian Vettel is already the leader of the championship, but due to his behavior in Sepang has fueled a lot of controversy. The three-time world champion has passed his team mate Mark Webber despite the Red Bull’s orders were " keep the positions". Team orders have always existed in the history of Formula One, because the races are an individual competition, but there is also the F1 constructors' championship that is worth a lot of money. Anyway in recent weeks, many experts have discussed the problem of the tyres. As request by FIA and FOM(Ecclestone), Pirelli has created tires that have an extremely high wear and some drivers complain because they cannot push their cars to the maximum. Now the most important thing is: “take care of the tires and do not destroy them, too soon”. The race distance is about 300 km and two pit stops mean 3 sets of tyres in every GP. The result: these tyres have a life of about 100 km. Of course doing three pit stops, tyres life becomes even shorter(75 km). Then the question is the following: money thrown to the wind and technology useless or thanks to these tyres we have races more unpredictable and less boring? kind regards |

news
Sebastian Vettel has personally presented his apologies to the staff of the Red Bull team for disobeying the order of the last Grand Prix of Malaysia, when a dozen laps passed his team-mate Mark Webber who at that time was in the head. Earlier this week, the German driver has visited the team at the site of Milton Keynes in the UK in the next race in China, taking the opportunity to reiterate his mea culpa . |

For me, both Mercedes and Red Bull have had a shameful behavior with team orders.
Rosberg has had to raise the foot not to move forward Hamilton; and Vettel, can be a great pilot but he has disappointed me as a sportsman. |

To be honaust i'm serious dissapointed in the Team of Red Bull & Mercedes ,it's only the 2nd race ...and what is happening allready ....Team orders
.....let them race for what they are worth it ....and not ..." Nico you may not overtake Lewis " & " get Mark out of the way i'm faster " ....and don't cry like a baby !!! The season is just begon ,so let them fight each other ..without taken each other out of the race ofcourse And about Ferrari ...i can say that it was a serious gamble with keeping Alonso out for 1 more lap ....always the wrong strategy Kind Regards Shaky-Schumi |
