Three more qualifiers after today's games: Italy, Belgium and Wales. A special well done to the Welsh, who last played in the finals of a major tournament way back in the 1958 World Cup.
The final round of group matches start tomorrow, with plenty more qualifying spots and play-off places to be decided.

Teams qualified so far: France (hosts), Iceland, Czech Republic, Belgium, Wales, Spain, England, Switzerland, Northern Ireland, Austria, Italy, Portugal

Re: International Soccer - General Discussion

Yes well firstly well done to my UK and European Counterparts, unfortunately Scotland's dream is over Cry Yet another tournament that we won't be participating in. Just to add salt to the wounds Poland scored an equaliser to level the scores to 2-2 in the dying minutes.

A very sad and dejected Scotsman tonight, my plans for next year lie in tatters Cry

Incidently my beloved Dundee United team lie rock bottom of the Scottish Premiership and still without a manager, can things football wise get any worse for me Sad

Re: International Soccer - General Discussion

First off I laughed my arse off watching Chelsea getting pumped 3-1 on their own patch yesterday Big GrinThumb up Oh how the mighty have fallen, league champions to the Premier League whipping boys Big Grin

Staying in the English Premier League Liverpool have sacked manager Brendan Rodgers with immediate effect. No surprise (like who never seen that coming) Blush

With regards to my own team Dundee United, a very bad time at the moment, after manager Jackie Mcnamara got the boot last week things just went from bad to worse with a 3-0 thrashing away to Partick Thistle, a result which pushed us right down to the bottom of the shit pile Cry

Good luck to which ever lucky sod gets the job as the club is in an absolute shambles right now Cry In the frame to be the new Tannadice gaffer includes Mixu Paatelainen, Tommy Wright, John Hughes and Stuart McCall.

I went to see United a few weeks ago and they were bloody dreadful with the pre match pint and pie being my only highlight of the day Smile

Re: International Soccer - General Discussion

Today, Sergio Aguero of Manchester City does the same as Lewandowski

[Versteckter Link - Registrierung notwendig]

This is another record.
quote
Aguero touched the ball nine times between the 42nd and 62nd minutes and scored with five of them for the fastest five-goal haul in Premier League history.

This is amazing to happen so soon from another player
