2019 THE CHAMPIONSHIPS - WIMBLEDON - DAY 13 (LAST) :
Finals Results : Gentlemen' s Singles : Novak Djokovic (1) won his 75th ATP tournament in career (16th Grand Slam and fifth Wimbledon, second consecutive), defeating Roger Federer (2) 7-6 (5), 1-6, 7-6 (4), 4-6, 13-12 (3) after 5h First set was dominated by the serves, with only one break-point saved by Djokovic in fourth game, so the natural end was the tie-break, in which the Serbian champion went 3-1, Federer with 4 points in a row went 5-3, but with another 4 points in a row Djokovic closed the tie-break 7-5 after 1h; in second set the Swiss champions broke twice in a row the world' s N° 1 in his first two service games, going 4-0 and closing the set 6-1 with another break after only 26'; no break-points in third set, so another tie-break, in which Nole went immediately 3-0, then 5-1 and closed the set 7-4 after 53'; in fourth set the Swiss broke the Serbian in fifht ed in seventh game, going 5-2, but he was broken for the first time in the match, anyway he managed to close the set 6-4 after 40'; in the final set the world' s N° 1 broke Federer in 6th game, but the Swiss imediately broke him back; then he broke again Nole on 7-7, serving for the match, but the world' s N° 1 saved two consecutive match-points and broke him back, so the match was decided by the tie-break, that from this year is played on 12-12, in which Djokovic went immediately 4-1, then 6-3 and closed the match 7-3, winning his fifth Wimbledon in career, while Federer lost his fourth final at the "Championships" (third against Nole).
