ETV girls post mortem ETV2 - 15/12 - 21/12

With ETV2 dead and buried one wonders if they have, after all, taken the opportunity to divest themselves of some models. Both Vanessa and Kleopatra are now doing their second shifts of the day, so they must be short-staffed.

Electra and Lina (after one appearance) already gone, and no sign yet of Donatella (2nd week), Elenora, Lolitka (2nd week)or Barbie.

Re: ETV girls post mortem ETV2 - 15/12 - 21/12

In my view eurotic helped bring about the closure of e2 themselves. The extra channel was formed to bring in more revenue with a one to one style format for the caller. Their calls would be more intimate as the camera did not keep going from model to model as in e1. Yes it seemed to work for a while until Eurotic started playing games with the models and the callers. Hot one night then cold the next--the models and callers did not know what kind of show they were going to get. But eurotic stuck two fingers up at everybody because by the time you found out you were not getting what you wanted-eurotic already had your cash. But once bitten twice shy as they say and the calls started to dry up. In desperation they put what they thought was their top models Alexa and Malena into the studio for what seemed months in an attempt to raise revenue. If it was a backlash against this or a protest at soft models being paid for nothing they duly covered up and went soft. So what happens now ? Alexa leaves her bosom buddy to sit mostly alone and not mixing to well with other models.Something has to give and like any other business if you are not making money you have to trim down your expenses. But it seems eurotic just bumbles along doing the same thing over and over without trying to attract new callers or income. A couple of hot shows after e2 closed raised hopes that e1 was waking up and giving callers what they want . Alas -no its back to the same if you dont like it lump it style of shows. Keep this up eurotic and like most businesses who dont give the customer what they want--you will go down.

Re: ETV girls post mortem ETV2 - 15/12 - 21/12

As DB wrote, for T = P * N and P = C/N, substituting we get T = C, which is a basic equilibrium condition, which states that the cost of models must be balanced by the revenues (the cake).
But the N variable – as can be seen – does not affect the equilibrium condition, which is valid both for a single model and for a group, assuming that T is a pure variable cost.
Such a model (I mean math model) can be more descriptive if we introduce more variables. For example on costs side, where other items could be considered (not only the cost for paying the models).
One of the most interesting change to the vision is related to the nature of the N, which has a mere quantitative consideration here.
If we give N also a qualitative value, the model (the math model) can increase its meaning.
Say N+ is a number of models with the highest rank, while N- is a group (with the same number of girls) with the lowest. Then we have C(N+) > C(N-).
But also [P+ = C(N+)/N] > [P- = C(N-)/N]. That is, if the management push on quality, the wages increase as well.
So, they chose to work on other items, mainly on structural costs, which likely led to the closure of E2.
The problem is that such a strategy can give benefits mainly in shorter periods, while in a longer term perspective working on quality is necessary as well, as long as P is not the only cost, but is the only one positively related to the quality level.
Managing is a hard work, mainly because one cannot consider the many affecting variables just one by one.
So, ETV managers, the decision of closing E2 seemed to be correct according to an economic point of view, but – according to a strategic point of view – is certainly not enough, as quality needs to be urgently increased, even if you are supposed to pay higher wages.

Re: ETV girls post mortem ETV2 - 15/12 - 21/12

A slightly different view.

If I read it right then the girls they have 'let go' were the softer/colder ones who lately were only working at weekends ie out of studying time.

Now actually ETV rarely let any model go as it is up to the model if and when they actually work so I would not be surprised if we did not see some of those 'leavers' in the days/weeks ahead. And, of course, any new face would also dispell that theory.

Girls are'booked' up to two weeks in advance so there were girls expecting work this week in E2 this week. So what happens ? It certainly looks to me that there are more girls in the E1 studio. Would that increase the expenses for E1 ? Not neccessarily. I'll try to illustrate that with a few variable T (total Pay) P(pay per model) N(number of models)

In a normal business T = P * N. With ETV, there is another variable C(the cake) so P = C/N. The 'cake' varies on a daily basis depending on the volume of calls/SMSs. Now if the volume does not go up with more models in the studio then P goes down. But the channel works on a percentage that over a show a certain number of lines will be busy and the more models available then the better the chances are to keep the lines busy and increase the 'cake'. As long as the 'cake' increases then P does not decrease. In fact it should increase so the models actually earn more and so does the channel.

And for a prosperous future they need to earn more to compensate for the obvious loss of income that E2 generated.

Re: ETV girls post mortem ETV2 - 15/12 - 21/12

On ETV site at TV Info page it's written "Up to 9 models in studio", so the usual 5/6 at ETV1 + 2/max 3 usually in the stalag.

Girls look more motivated or in a better mood, maybe it's Christmas time, maybe the stalag was extremely uncomfortable and the most of models didn't like to work there, or maybe they have been assured no one will receive any firing letter.

The number of models is gone down to 49 now. Adora and Dessita have left the ranking site too.
