So next week is the last week for ETV.
Gotta say that actually came as a surprise, even though it shouldn't since i was tuning in pretty frequently this week and i was surprised that every time i turned on the show they where either showing the ETV logo full screen for one hour, or they were repeating the same ads over and over and over and over again.

Anyways they revamped their website and even though they shut off their satellite signal, they still try to survive in the internet. They killed the fta night show (i really hope they are not wondering why they have to shut off the signal and if they do, they really should look at the crap they were airing for about half a year) and now they are where they wanted to be - on the internet.
Here's the problem though: We all know that we can practically get anything our hearts and fetishes desire for free off of the interwebs, so if u want people to pay for the stuff u offer on the internet, then it has to be really good or something out of the ordinary (hence the popularity of webcam shows.)
Now i have never spent a single credit or even made an account on etv's webpage (and i don't intent on doing so) because ETV has insulted my intelligence for the longest, i didn't enjoy their shows and i didn't want to fund them killing the night shows, however i spent money on the fta shows for probably about 5 or 6 years when i enjoyed the shows.
What i wanted to say though, is that according to some members the stuff on their webpage is just as watered-down as the stuff they were airing on the channel. And censoring stuff on the internet is just bogus. I have said this before: The only limitations u have on the internet, especially if u are running the stream yourself, is the limitations u put on yourself. Look at all the porn sites out there and look what they are offering. ETV is a strongly religious church compared to what all of the other sites have to offer. The only thing they got going for them is the girl next door approach, however, that also goes for the webcam sites on the internet and the fact that u have known the models for a long time... even though that only applies to 2 models now - Roshana and Jasmine, since all the other girls abandoned ship already.

However, i'm 100% positive, just like many here, that they will fail on the internet, because think about it: What has ETV done to promote themselves?
It is sort of a miracle that they were able to survive for that long, honestly, because I have never ever seen any kind of advertisment anywhere ever. I have never seen a commercial on any adult material site or anything like that. Considering they are moving completely to the web without any sort of advertisment before they rely people who already know ETV. Aka people that have turned their backs when they f'd up the nightshows. Aka people they insulted over the years. Aka people who are disappointed in them.
So with that mentality they sort of have to cater towards new people but as I said, they have done a shitty job at that. Or to be precise they have done nothing towards that step at all. I haven't looked into it in detail, but apparently once they shut off the channel, they will still air a free show on their website but in order to watch it u have to make an account.
Now let's put ourselves in the shoes of someone who has never heard of ETV before and by some crazy accident (like entering a url wrong or whatever) u happen to stumble upon ETV. While the girls might intrigue u, i highly doubt that u would go on an adventure and willingly register an account for a site u have never even heard before. If they think this is what is going to happen, then they have definitely lost their minds by now.

So they lost all of their stars, (except 2-3) they haven't done jack to promote themselves, in order to watch the free stream u have to register yourself, (which probably no new viewer would do) they release highly censored and thus lukewarm videos and they still insist on putting out "artistic" shows... i give them half a year and they are done.

Anyways, i thank all the girls on ETV in the past that i enjoyed, namely Jessy, Sabrina, Lia, Mashiara, Veronika, Anna, Karolina, Lin, Gia and all the girls that stayed until the end; Roshana, Jasmine, Nancy, Amonna, Saya and my favorite of them all Penelope.
I would say it is a shame that the TV channel ends, yet considering the lame shows they were putting on, killing the night shows and insulting our intelligence calling us names, i'm kinda glad they are gone. Everyone predicted the downfall of ETV and quite honestly, they finally got what was coming for them.

Still thanks for countless joyfull nightshows, lost of sexy models and (most of the time) well spent money for sexy shows from the girls.

Oh one more thing: I saw that ETV was running ads for a charlie chaplin movie. Can anyone explain me what that was all about? I'm honestly confused about that.

For all viewers alot of models will leave the channel when they go online and they will depend on new models and i think they know that this would be the end and they also happy about that i think all work there for the channel want to change their career they are now hate their work and asking for renewing

I can not understand how etv can compete in the future with Babestation, no tv and show only a fee .. this is the doubt. These days I often connect to the Babestation site and I must admit that I'm finally finding some show that also would be worth spending a few extra dollars. But why pay etv ... ??? For the timid and clumsy girls, nextdoor girls ... when everyone knows full well that they are sex workers. I think that without a free platform, etv is destined to fail miserably.

In my opinion the stream quality is ok.

The main problem is the lightning, its so dark you cant see any details. I dont know if they think thats art, or they simply want to safe the money for good lamps.

Also the camera is too static most of the time.

In some old premium shows they had white background and good lightning. They were prettey good.

If they use the right camera, a good lightning and do without disturbing accessories like for example the (silver) veils, the picture quality of the web stream is very good, even up to the full capacity of their resolution (720p).........unfortunately this happens in less than 5% of their shows lately.

In all fairness - you are right and you are not at the same time. Yes, the satellite feed quality has dropped considerably, and they will switch it off anyway.

The stream they offer now on their website for free shows is a clear screen stream with the data rate of the former exclusive shows, 1300 kbps, so the free internet stream is actually of marginally higher quality than before, though still not 1080p or even 4k offered by others.

The old shows from 4-5 years ago still being reuploaded on this forum were 4:3 ratio standard definition streams, or even digitalised old VHS copies (the oldest shows, eg Vector's posts in the nostalgy thread) and people still rave about them. So it is not solely about the picture quality, but about the quality of the shows also.

For me it doesn't matter how good or bad the current shows are ........I can't enjoy it anymore. The picture quality - TV and Internet - is just too bad.
In my opinion, this is the first thing they have to improve.........otherwise they have no chance to survive.

The night shows are very short but it much better than pervious months. Kristina doing great job
