Re: Books and comics

Read this book few months ago and had not touch any books since. Going to start reading again Tongue

Eleven Minutes is the story of Maria, a young girl from a Brazilian village, whose first innocent brushes with love leave her heartbroken. At a tender age, she becomes convinced that she will never find true love, instead believing that "love is a terrible thing that will make you suffer. . . ." A chance meeting in Rio takes her to Geneva, where she dreams of finding fame and fortune. Maria's despairing view of love is put to the test when she meets a handsome young painter. In this odyssey of self-discovery, Maria has to choose between pursuing a path of darkness -- sexual pleasure for its own sake -- or risking everything to find her own "inner light" and the possibility of sacred sex, sex in the context of love.

Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet is a beautiful novel by Jamie Ford about the love and friendship between Henry Lee, a Chinese American boy, and Keiko Okabe, a Japanese American girl, it tells the story of a bad page of American history that many don't even know, the internment of Japanese Americans during World War II.

Hi maurois, i'm glad you loved Auntie Mame, it's a very funny classic, shame that Patrick Dennis didn't write other great books like this, the 1958 movie starring Rosalind Russell as auntie Mame is also good.

A very funny classic is Auntie Mame, a 1955 novel by Patrick Dennis (pseudonym of Edward Everett Tanner III May 18, 1921 – November 6, 1976) chronicling the madcap adventures of a boy, Patrick, growing up as the ward of the sister of his dead father.

Re: Books and comics

Lol i understand you maurois Big Grin but this is not a problem, i have the same too Big Grin. La Cuesta de Moyano should be a wonderful place, i think i would have go crazy for all these books Thumb up

Talking about this, in the last months i had no more space where to put my books so i decided to buy an e-reader, i was really perplexed at first cause i thought was not as good as the real books but i have to say that i really enjoyed my purchase, i bought a Kobo Aura, it's really easy to use, you can read very well without straining your eyes and you have space for thousand of books, you can also expand your memory with a 32GB Micro Sd Card, it's great for comics also so i'm very happy with it.
And you guys, what do you think about e-readers? Do you have already one or planning to buy one?

Dear Galahad, we have a problem...a big problem...today I have visited one special place...I am going to use the google translate to explane my problem:

La Cuesta de Moyano is the popular name that is known street Claudio de Moyano Madrid, famous for booths selling books (many of booksellers, or second-hand) that are installed with the gate of the Garden Botánico.1 the street connects the Paseo del Prado to the Retiro Park and is now pedestrianized. Named after the zamorano political Claudio Moyano, author of the Education Act 1855 and having a bronze statue at the start of the climb. At the bottom of the hill there is another statue dedicated to Basque writer Pío Baroja. This bronze statue was previously located within the Parque del Retiro.

Well, cheap books, very cheap...I have bought 12 books spending only 20 euros, is true not is a new books, secondhand or third hand or fouth hand Big GrinBig GrinBig Grin...believe me, is amazing for people like me or you or modest (sorry If forget some name) but now I have a big problem because now I must to decide what books is the next reader...horrible ploblem, you know Big GrinBig GrinBig Grin

With some pictures maybe you understand to me:
