A short visit in hot Kukuanaland

I think I have to explain:
Back in 1885, the English author Henry Rider Haggard (1856 - 1925) started his writing
career with the novel 'King Solomon's Mines. In this book he describes the adventures of a group of English gentlements which started an expedition into deepest, unexplored Africa to find the land of King Solomon's diamond mines. After much struggles and immense dangers, they found that land and learned that it was called Kukuanaland by the natives. What they also learned was that this land had a population of exceedingly beautiful women and extremely dangerous men.

Time has changed a bit since then, and for mostly unknown reasons (continental drift? climate change? - what has our geologist from Berlin to say about this?) it seems that this land has now a position much nearer to us central europeans. So,in the true spirit of the aforementioned adventurers, I decided to have a look myself. After some secret investigations I discovered a way to get to where I reckoned this land's position is now. Due to some political changes in the last decades, it is also called Molvinia nowadays. Now I have to make a confession: deep in my heart I am also quite gutless, and so I invited SWMBO to assist me in this adventure. Ah yes, SWMBO - also an expression coined by Henry R. Haggard in another novel. It means 'She-Who-Must-Be-Obeyed', and I believe you know who this is.

So - bags packed, and off we went. Yes, we saw it all: the famous capital, the surroundings also, and the women there are really beautiful. We had luck insofar, as we did not get in troubles with the dangerous men. Unfortunately, many of the details of this adventure I have to keep for myself, if for no other reason than to protect the innocent from the wrath of the dangerous men. After a week we managed to get back home healthy and unharmed (but tired also!).
So you all know now that this secret place really exists. But even geologists are sometimes wrong: the place where a mysterious building full of (well, with some exceptions!) beautiful women stands, is flat as a pancake. It seems that analysis in the flare of New Year fireworks are a bit imprecise, for not to say bulls**t. ;-)))

A little supplement about the dangerous men: it so happened that they tried to blow us out of our beds the first night. Luckily for us the munition depot was too far away, and no harm was done. But the sound was impressive.

@ ghostwriter2008: ??? if you mean 'next time' - no plans yet. Next visit will not be 'downwards', but 'upwards'.

@brokingbull: what done? - looking at churches (yes!) and a Roman amphitheatre, using a neglected chair lift, drinking beer with some people you certainly would recognize, eating some fine food, putting my arms around something which was 100 % no hologram...enough!

@Shirtfull: for getting these I had to change my travel direction about 180 degrees. Souvenirs mostly consists of CDs of Kukuana music, drinkable Kukuana liquids and fine memories

@ kasenit

What have you done there? Did you just look for a little hill? Or some girls?

Hills are to be searched at daylight, girls in  the night. Lool.

Maybe what you saw was a fake, a hologram? :-D

As for continental drift I know that's the only thing which is slower than the movements of some etv girls. :-DD
