i have a premium rapidshare and today i download amy(97.8 mo)in 3.45 minutes(454ko/s) with slow connection 3 months ago with old rapidshare (110-135 ko/s)[/quote] Keyword "premium". It is so slow because they want you to buy it. With premium your downloads go with full speed. |

Yesterday I noticed Tarl had posted his rapidshare vids of Amy  So after doing a jig around the room and high fiving myself, I settled down in my comfy chair, looking forward to downloading a video of the beautiful one. I chose an AH show which was 102 MB in size. Imagine my dismay when it said 3 days and 14 hours  Life's to short for rapidshare, had to abort the download and watch one of Amy's vids I already had. Question, why is it so slow these days? |

What happens today with Rapidshare?
I am trying to download (the same, for the third time, the first two, it was not possible) a video and go to the "fantastic" speed of 3.4 KB / s. This video of 260MB, it will take 21 hours to download.

I'm very unhappy with this hoster and I don't want to create an account for the download of files. as daz said, the download speed is very unconstant.
I'm sorry to say, but that sucks!

I downloaded 3 files last night as a logged in user (not premium) the first was over 400MB, started fine enough at 180kb but, i checked the progress a couple of minutes after and was at 166kb, i checked a couple minutes later again and 98kb
 by the time file 1 had finished it was coming down at 51kb OK for the other 2 files it managed a constant 37kb from start to finish, in all it took all night from i think 11pm uk time until 6am uk the morning after. I'm starting to think there next go at getting new customers or old ones back is to limit you to 1 download per day. Who in there right mind would use them as a host as they don't seem to know what to do on a daily basis, without knowing what your going to get as a customer, why bother is my view. |

one point of the changes is that the volumen store is raised from 500 to 700 GB.
another point is that the 5 euro for every silly guy who bought a Premium by your account is gone. I'll ask tomorrow for my missing 80 euros. it will be interesting to read their answer
