Let me show you a special friend of mine. Chinese mitten crab (Eriocheir sinensis) is the name and to annoy me is the job of this sweetheart. These crabs steal my fishing bait, cut my line and hang sometimes on my hook and try to scare me and I can tell you that it works.

Feel for you Yaznee, wish the rain hadn't come down so quickly. Here in the south east it was a lovely sunny day, made my mood very good compared to all the previous grey and dark days.
Sometimes bad weather can given some pretty good picture opportunites. I took the photo below last year from the balcony on the 4th floor, the sun just came out from the horizon as a big storm was about to hit the coast. [hidden image - please register] |

So today, I decided to take the my dog out for a little adventure. The journey ahead is about 3 and a half hours there and back
. Things started out well LOL.[hidden image - please register] Here is what we're going to. Can you see that little Pike at the top of the hill?  [hidden image - please register] Half way up the hill the rain starts gently coming down......... 30 minutes later we arrive at the pike. [hidden image - please register] I suppose we should have paid more attention to the rain. As we turn around we see this shit storm of rain coming over from the Manchester area. [hidden image - please register] Here is me and my son packing our shit up quickly as possible LOL (mainly him ).[hidden image - please register] All the god damn way home that rain never once stopped  2 hours we walk in the front of door of my house, we was like drowned rats, and the poor dog was covered in mud from head to toe lol. I suppose it was a fun day, but I'm sure the rain could have waited until we got home first Sorry for the crappy photos, my phone sucks

Beautiful pictures, I feel envious for not being able to do these walks with the dog, so clear places, and the possibility of seeing animals.

From this mornings walk with the dog, its starting to get colder but in the second the sun burns through and lights up the field, btw theres a rabbit in the first pic, you can only just see it on its back legs

I live in the countryside and sometimes there are "unexpected visitors".
Last night I had one of those visits; it is a gecko (Tarentola mauritanica). Of course, I did not hurt, I let him come to the roof and stayed there. It is a very useful animal, because especially in the summer, he hunts all the flies and mosquitoes than he finds. [hidden image - please register] |
