So another huge disappointment for an England team. We fancied our chances going into the tournament, having been on a long unbeaten run, but now we're out already after two defeats
I don't know what the case is in other countries, but in England there's the mentality that good young players go straight into the full squad (where they often end up sitting on the bench) instead of getting real tournament experience with the U-21s. Theoretically, we could have had players such as Phil Jones, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Jack Wilshere in our team. There again, when you have a manager who's capable of getting a team to score no home goals in half a season of matches, then it's no wonder.
