Re: ETV birthday show

You can put six candles in a muffin and call it a party, it would be typical ETV quality.Big Grin

Re: ETV birthday show

They continue to insist that there is a party today its either at 20:30 or 19:30 (sometimes they get confused with Molvanian time), So I don't know what the official site is saying its either they are wrong or the others are drunk

Re: ETV birthday show

The information about this birthday as generally passes badly to ETV.

SCARLET said to me yesterday that the show of Saturday would be better and that of the birthday of ETV. I insisted by reading her the banner which scrolled on the screen but she did not change opinion.

With it difficult to be made an opinion, let us wait we this evening to have a pleasant surprise.

Re: ETV birthday show

If there is to be a party of the 5th anniversary, it would be held in late October - the 2nd party was held on 27/10/06 and the third on 23/10/07 (best not to talk about the 4th as that was more of a wake than a party). The October date is more significant as IIRC 2006 celebrated the first birthday of E2 with the earlier date being for actual transmission as opposed to 'transmission testing'

However, I would like to quote a comment by Francis Rossi as he addressed his audience on what was to be the last ever live concert of Status Quo back in 1984 "As this is the last time, let us make this a good one, a big one"

Now I do not own a crystal ball and I do not know , at this stage, what the future holds for the tv. But when the day comes for the the last party I hope they can go out with a bang and have as many of the 'gang' they can persuade to come through the doors.

Re: ETV birthday show

I would not want to celebrate taking a channel from the best on air to a channel that shows less than what you can see on any beach. And if its like the last party then it would be best not to send out any invites as I am sure there will be few replies.

Re: ETV birthday show

Thanks for the link, Ticky.

I really don't know if they are going to celebrate the day of going on air with a test-screen...but we will wait and see

Hope to see some of the old faces again - it's like 25th school anniversary...

Re: ETV birthday show

According to KingOfSat they went on air on 25-09-2004.

So that would make it their 5th anniversary.
