No one forced them to be part of the UK Family. It was another big mistake like ETV for America, ETV behind the curtain or now, softshows for paying users.
I dont think ETV will get one more chance to survive. |

Most of people thought that ETV new WEB was the answer to many increasing difficulties to perform an EROTIC program at TV.
Unfortunately so far even the WEB Shows are too soft far from expectation, even when you pay for it…. |

In the countries in which ETV sent in the past (Austria, Germany, Italy), it is only allowed to show the models full dressed, and showing underwear is forbidden in the daytime (since some time). But it is allowed to use words like "sexy", "erotic", .... So it was possible to show messages with these words on the plasma screen. Now because of UK rules these messages are censored (changed) by the moderators, and if that is impossible, they are not shown, even if they include only "clean" compliments and no rude words (like my message). So the former name of this channel was eUrotic TV. In the UK maybe the girls can be dressed more sexy, but words like "sexy", "erotic", ... seem to be forbidden. So the poor models now must also be very careful not using such forbidden words speaking into the studio micro, otherwise they will have great problems with the bosses. And this channel must respect the rules of every country in which it can be watched as a FTAchannel. The result is ... crap!

The only good thing about the program on the Sky platform is apart from a couple of lines with the phone number at the top of the screen all the advertising has been removed which leave a nice big picture of the girls, Evah looking paticularly fine as usual this afternoon.

I sent the following VIP message: Your name is spelled like this: C-helsea h-as e-xtraordinary l-egs (I like it, and: ) s-ensual e-rotic a-ppearance ... This message was not shown on the plasma screen because of UK rules which forbid the word "erotic"; I can only say: not erotic, but idiotic! So viewers in other European countries will be very careful to send messages again... Maybe the UK rules are responsible that the channel now has the name "etvshow", not "eUrotic.tv" |

I can't speak for everyone in the UK, but I find it more than a little ironical that we've been complaining about how tame our (day)shows have become over the last couple of years, and then along comes a European channel, from a part of the world with a supposedly much more relaxed attitude to sex and nudity, and it manages to make the UK-based dayshows look practically hardcore in comparison.
I now remember why I gave up on ETV over three years ago. |
