Sometimes it's good, sometimes it's bad. For me the EU still has too less influence and even less will to overrule non democratic tendencies.
Anyway, the biggest achievement for me is free travel and freedom of residence, and the best institution of the EU is the European Court, it really has broken the protection of the German federal institutions by the national judiciary.

However, a community of widely spreading interests will always be a compromise.
It doesn't work that every one only wants to take the advantages without accepting the disadvantages.
So besides fixing maybe some minor issues Great Britain should accept the way it is or leave EU.
But I'm concerned like with Greece the other EU members are afraid of the consequences of an Exit.
But I don't really see an issue, Switzerland is also not in EU and for both sides that's not really a problem, Switzerland is currently rather struggling with the strong SFr than with not being in EU, and GB may get similar problems with a strong GBP even if they stay in EU.

Re: The beginning of the END ? Cameron's war to porno

Cameron seems to think he will lose the next election unless he targets the Daily Mail vote.

The latest is that Cameron wants to force websites with free porn content to have mandatory verified registration (backed by credit card) or go out of business. His idea is that sites offer free hardcore samples but keep the longer/better stuff for paying customers. Banks will be told to blacklist those businesses, even if based abroad, despite the content being 100% legal in the UK.

This is in response to a study that claimed some schoolchildren were being forced to access porn sites by peer pressure and are being traumatised by it. The survey recommended better sex education, not porn filters, but the government seems intent on misrepresenting it.

Since when was public policy based on the personal bias on one politician, however elevated, rather than public opinion, party policy or official impartial studies backed up by green papers, white papers, public consultation and impact assessments listing people adversely or positively affected?

If it works it will mean no access to porn without giving foreign based porn merchants your name, address, date of birth and credit card details (debit cards are not considered proof of age as under 18s can have them). While most porn merchants are respectable law abiding business men/women who attend Church every weekend, a few are not.

Is it really in the national interest for dodgy porn merchants in the murkier corners of East Europe or Asia to have this level of detail about the House of Commons workers*, MPs husbands or military personnel?

It probably wont prevent kids being pressured into seeing inappropriate content either as porn sites are run by ingenious people who find ways round these kinds of bans, and adolescents will just find another way pressuring each other, like circulating DVD clips. Teaching them not to be little s**ts would be far better use of resources.

Actually I'm rather concerned about the freedom. Porn will never die.
But to deep packet inspection and the concerning infrastructure to categorize content "on the fly" will provide unlimited possibilities for censorship.
Porn (and even better pedos) is just the political correct reason to install a new generation of surveillance technology Angry
I hope the people in Great Britain will give them a kick in the ass at the next elections

This guy is an idiot ... it will just make those "paedos" "raping" want to go out in public and do it .... he does not think about the consequences when he blocks it. Also with the option when ask in each Provider, if the household refuse to block... do they keep tabs on that household? have different warnings for each and every household? David Cameron is digging a big hole up and hes gonna end up finding some skeletons by the end of it.

He should spend more time fighting against real Crime, Helping British Economy to find more Jobs, Sort the stupid UK TAX out, sort out the Benefits, sort out Immigration. No Good will come out of this blocking porn shit

As this would be end to all forums that contain nudity, far less business for Webcams like MFC, shebang, chaturbate etc etc

Here's another version of the story and Confused [Versteckter Link - Registrierung notwendig] don't get me wrong as CP and another word that starts with R should not ever see the light of day on any site or ever happen, so are certainly welcome if changes only stay to that, but sadly all uk members will be tracked and i see bad things as privacy on any level would go and god forbid you do a search and go on the wrong site, then we can only guess Sad

Our freedom is going as if you want porn site access then of course this makes every movement you make as tracked officially Confused

Btw i will have to let my ISP know just gain access on LSTV.

Thanks piggy for posting and please all uk members read this very carefully Thumb down

OK lets add, the shows in every country are now either dead or crap, this is thanks to the UK as most regulators are foliowing our leads....Need i say more? Your country maybe next !
