Two notable things from last night's games. First, well done to Austria for sealing their qualification for the finals after thrashing Sweden 4-1 away. Second, well done to Wayne Rooney for becoming the all-time leading goalscorer for England with 50 goals, beating the long-standing mark of 49 set by the great Sir Bobby Charlton. Rooney is still only 29, so the record should go much higher by the time he retires.
Current qualifiers for the finals: France (hosts), Czech Republic, Iceland, England, Austria |

As a result of tonight's qualifiers, both the Czech Republic and Iceland have qualified for Euro 2016. Well done both teams, but especially to Iceland, who've never qualified before
Unfortunately Wales couldn't quite seal their place in France next summer, after a 0-0 draw against a bus-parking, time-wasting Israel. However, they only need a point to qualify with a home game against Andorra to come, so it really is when and not if for Chris Coleman's boys |

I think it's worth mentioning that England became the first nation (other than hosts France) to qualify for the finals of Euro 2016 after their win today.
We were lucky to get a relatively easy group, and the team is still a long way from being contenders next year, but it's nice to have a record of seven wins from seven games. So, well done to Roy and the team |
