well, its been ok since last scan so touching wood that all resolved...
thanks for the help guys and apologies to misto for the knee jerk - just cos that's where I was going when it happened, guess doesn't mean that's where it came from. |

hmmm - well not sure then...
I know that all sites I went to yesterday are frequent use for me except for the sites in this thread and I think the only things I'd downloaded were Mauro's morgan vid and 2 paige vids (from quiqems?) - so (without going back to check) I think from megaupload & rs... (Some months ago I had a problem and wondered if it came with an mu download?) But when it first appeared, I'd started checking links from the bottom of the thread (so from 1st reply) and worked up, so tubemotion would have been maybe 4th or 5th and the trojan took over as soon as I clicked the link, so the site never actually opened. I think I've eventually cleared it though: - ran system restore - had to run malwarebytes 3 times before it updated - 1st 2 times, it couldn't find updates and didn't find anything during scan, 3rd time it did find updates and then picked up 2 trojans. - I then had to reload virgin media security as Anti virus & spyware had been removed (and had to remove malwarebytes to load it) and now I'm running another full scan, so fingers crossed... |

well system restore got my pc back, but malwarebytes still hasn't found any rogue exe and its wiped out my antivirus & spyware security - gave up last night but will try again today.
Regards where it came from, I know these things can embed, but yesterday, used pc various times during the day with no problem - usual round of news, sport, fun, forums & shows - ended up on this thread and thought I'd give them a try as I've been looking for a particular scene from tvx for some time - started at the bottom of the page and checked 3/4 sites from tsontas & misto all with no problem, but when I clicked the link for tubemotion instead of the site opening, this thing immediately took over, so seemed pretty clear cut as the only other thing open on pc at the time was liveshows. |

I'm sorry for your problem, personally I 've never had a virus from this site. I have to try 10 minutes ago and no virus. However, I apologize and I will investigate this site. Sorry again. |

I know 3 persons with this problems and in the end I've reinstalled the system on all 3 pcs. I think the restore point could be the only other way to get a virus free OS back. but as said: I've saved the datas on another hdd and have reinstalled the OS. |

I just tried the tubemotion link on my pc and have picked up a virus - deutschpolizei trying to charge £100 for an illegal operation. taken me a while to get into safe mode and start malwarebytes which is still running, so hoping it will work (writing this on my laptop). therefore RECOMMEND YOU DO NOT USE THESE LINKS !!! MODS: please remove asap before anyone else gets it bang goes any stream recording tonight, thanks misto17 ! |
