The 3rd and last practice session is just over ...and surprice surprice ..it's Vettel who is on the 1st place with a stunning time of 1:21.707 ..Vettel needed just one lap for this ! Conclusion ? It will be a one - two for the Red Bulls and the rest of the teams will probarbly have to fight for the 3rd place

First something interesting ... Alonso extends Ferrari contract to 2016
And now to the order of the day ..this weekend ( and also next weekend allready ! ) is the next race of the F1 calendar ,and this weekend it's the Gp of Spain !
This means that everyone is invited to play the game at the " Top 3 " voting topic

Here is also a little info about the time schedule for this weekend ,starting with the 1st practice session tomorrow ( friday)from 10.00u -11.30u ,followed by the 2nd practice session at 14.00u - 15.30u !
Than on saturday is the 3rd practice session at 11.00u - 12.00u ,foolowed by the qualification in the afternoon from 14.00u - 15.00u !
And than finaly on sunday the race will start at 14.00u è!
Like usual the German Tv sender( station ) Sport1 (DSF) will broadcast the 1st and 2nd practice " Live " from 10.00u - 11.35 and from 14.00u - 15.35u !

Circuit de Catalunya is home the Spanish Grand Prix from 1991
In the past the Spanish Grand Prix was run mostly at Jerez de la Frontera, Jarama and Montjuich
in 1975 (Montjuich) Half points were awarded because the race was stopped after only 29 laps due a terrible accident. So Lella Lombardi the sixth, with her half-point is still today the only woman to score points in Formula One
in 1981 (Jarama's circuit) Gilles Villeneuve crossed the line first, followed closely by Laffite, Watson, Reutemann, and de Angelis: top five separated by just 1.24 secs.!(without safety car).
in 1986 (Jerez de la Frontera) an incredible arrival between Senna and Mansell, side by side, under the checkered flag. They crossed the finishing line just 0.014 seconds apart. One of the closest finishes in the history of F1
in 1993(Circuit de Catalunya) For the first and last time on the podium, three of the greatest drivers in the history of Formula 1: Prost, Senna and Schumacher. 14 world campionship in total; the podium most titled of all time
in 1996 (Circuit de Catalunya) first victory for Schumacher at the wheel of a Ferrari
M. Schumacher has won also in 2004 – 2003 – 2002 – 2001(always Ferrari) and 1995(Benetton)

The race was great, indeed. Lot of overtakings, emotions and fights. First podium for Fernando... but first 1-2 for Red Bull this year.
It's still a long way to Sebastian...

Since the accident R. Kubica. Do not always watch the race. I prefer other sports events at the same time. But today I watched the race with great pleasure. Great race. Such a long time since it was not. However, seeing the actions of the team today RENUALT. I wish more and more rapid return Kubica!

Vettel could not drive because his car was too mutch damaged in the 1st session ,the team could not reapair it in time !
Alonso lost control of his car halfway the session at the outcome of turn 6 !
Barrichello had troubles with his KERS system !
Maldonado went of heavy at turn 8 ...this caused yellow flag ..and because of this nobody could beat the time of Button !
D'Ambrosio will have a grid peanlty of 5 places because ignoring the yellow flags !
