Re: Nature - Discussion & Chat

Good Morning Guys,........Beachy head Eastboune Sussex S UK
This splendid place is identical to the White cliffs at Dover!! only a bit
more upmarket!! there is a cafe and pub to cater for the hundreds of visitors
each day it is a designated nature reserve, i have ever only seen birds and sheep!!
there are nature trails to wander along before a visit to the pub!!
there are of course, down on the beach, fossils to be found among the chalk
and stones, if you are fit enough for the climb each way!! a lighthouse finishes
off the scene quite resplendent as if it was in charge!!
the one downside, it's the most popular place in the UK to commit suicide!!
no idea why these troubled souls choose here!! there is a part time volunteer
to try and talk potential "jumpers" to change their minds!!! Cheers GuysSadSmile

Hey Guys,........ River Rother Sluice gate Rye sussex SE
This is marine/wildfowl birds showing just how devious
they can be!! the sluice gates only open to let excess
water pass through at low tide if required.... no birds on
the sea side of sluice!! when at high tide when the sea
reaches the sluice gate there is an abundance of gulls
and herons waiting for the choice pickings of fish and
eels that are trapped by the sluice gates!! clever or
what?? that is nature working as perfect as it can cheers guysSmileSmile

Hey guys, Dover Castle,Kent SE UK
Apart from being a magnlficent castle the grounds
also boast of a Nature Trail below the castle walls
it is situated on quite steep ground but still a nice
pleasant walk around the walls. mainly nesting sea birds
a few more species are also seen nesting House martins
use the gaps between the stones of the wall to nest
the castle is the main tourist attraction but nature is playing
her part here as well! regards guysSmileSmile
