An explosion has hit a bus carrying the Borussia Dortmund football team to a Champions League match, the club says.
Player Marc Bartra has been injured and has been taken to hospital. The AFP news agency reported that the bus's windows were broken in the blast. North-Rhine Westphalia police said they were at the scene and there are reports that the fire service are also there. The team tweeted (in German) that the other players were safe and there was no danger in or around the stadium. The match against Monaco has been postponed. |

Explosion at Egypt Nile Delta church kills at least 25, injures 60 ...
At least 25 people were killed and 60 injured on Sunday when an explosion rocked a Coptic church in Egypt's Nile Delta, state television reported, the latest assault on a religious minority that has increasingly been targeted by Islamist militants. A lorry has smashed into a store in central Stockholm, killing at least three people, Swedish police say.
Several people were also injured in the incident on Drottninggatan (Queen Street), one of the city's major pedestrian streets. Swedish Prime Minister Stefan Lofven said everything pointed to an act of terrorism. Local media reported one arrest, but police have said they cannot confirm anyone is being held. The lorry was hijacked earlier on Friday, its owner said. The crash happened at the Ahlens department store just before 15:00 local time (13:00 GMT). Swedish brewery Spendrups said its lorry had been stolen on its way to a restaurant delivery. "Someone jumped into the driver's cabin and drove off with the vehicle while the driver was unloading," a brewery spokesperson told the TT news agency. Local media reported one arrest, but police have said they cannot confirm anyone is being held in connection with the attack. Shots have also reportedly been fired in another part of the city, says BBC security correspondent Frank Gardner, citing security sources. It is not clear whether the two incidents are connected. Witnesses say the lorry drove into the front window of the Ahlens store. One eyewitness told the BBC she was in the shop's fitting room when she heard the screams. "There was blood everywhere," she said. The shop sits close to the city's central station, which was evacuated. The metro was also suspended after the attack. AN EXPLOSION in between two St Petersburg metro stations has killed 10 people and injured 47 more in what investigators believe was a terror attack. The country's health minster confirmed 10 people have died and 47 have been injured by the blast right in the centre of St Petersburg. In early April, the inhabitants of the Earth will be able to observe the comet Tuttle–Giacobini–Kresák ... 41P/Tuttle–Giacobini–Kresák is a periodic comet in the Solar System. The comet nucleus is estimated to be 1.4 kilometers in diameter, discovered by Horace Parnell Tuttle on May 3, 1858, and re-discovered independently by Michel Giacobini and Ľubor Kresák in 1907 and 1951 respectively, it is a member of the Jupiter family of comets. This is the only comet to date, which can be observed through conventional optics, such as a powerful binoculars or an amateur telescope. 41P will make its closest approach to the Sun (perihelion) on April 12. The best time to observe is during the dark hours before the sunrise when the comet is high in the northern sky. |
