Former South African President Nelson Mandela has died at age 95 of complications from a recurring lung infection.
The anti-apartheid leader and Nobel Peace Prize laureate was a beloved figure around the world, a symbol of reconciliation from a country with a brutal history of racism. Mandela was released from prison in 1990 after nearly 30 years for plotting to overthrow South Africa's apartheid government. In 1994, in a historic election, he became the nation's first black leader. Mandela stepped down in 1999 after a single term and retired from political and public life. Daaaam... i read now of the Paul's dead. Unexpected and shocking news.
I am so sad, he was so beautiful and wonderful in his role in Fast&Furious.. Surely the dream of many women around the world. still i can't belive he is now gone. I loved his movies, i feel like he was a ''friend of mine''. Rest in peace friend. |

We only have two kind of mass media. Media influenced by the government (TV, DPA) and Media influencing the government (Springer). So except of some small independent media (unfortunately often ideologically biased like TAZ) there's only a big circus. Interesting is that the public Television now and then has government-critical articles on their website, but never broadcasts it. It was the same with the protests in Istambul. They had a small article online quite at the beginning, but on TV it was reported after more than a week when there was no way to hide it anymore. Regards Joker |

For those who only keep up to date through the UK media, it was reported by the BBC that there where 100 - 300 protesters who marched through london on the 5th of november, actually there was well over a thousand, so playing it down almost to the point of ignorance, it was an event that any real reporting should have happened and not as they did, be played down as just a few people turning up.
