a man who could buy Etv ;);)

A man in Atlanta got the second time lucky when he won a $1 million state lottery. Delma Kinney defied massive odds recently when he picked his second win in a matter of three years.

The 50-year-old played Georgia Lottery’s instant Super Millions game and got lucky. His first $1 million win was in 2008 from the same game. He is a single father so he used part of the winnings to fund his three children’s college education. With that seemingly taken care of, Kinney says he is going to donate part of the latest winning to charity.

Kinney bought the winning on impulse saying he had gone out to buy a cold medicine. When he got to the Chevron Food Mart, Kinney said he decided to try his luck and that turned out to be one of the luckiest things he has done.

He told newsmen that, “I was just out and stopped for cold medicine. I sat in the car with the ticket, and when I saw the matching numbers, I knew.”

P.S.: Etv .. here is one in which to invest!!! Big GrinBig Grin

Re: News from the World

... especially if you keep in mind, that thanks to the thin athmosphere you're practically unable to steer in the first part of the journey, until the athmosphere gets thick enough. So if you get into an uncontrolled rolling or rotating in the beginning, you will already be unconcious when you traveld far enough to correct that ... That's why I think the parachute release must be hight controlled and not manualy.

Re: News from the World

It's done. The Austrian Felix Baumgartner jumped from the edge of space. The capsule was in an altitude of 39.000 m

[hidden link - please register]

Only the record of the longest freefall is failed. The parachute got opened (I don't know yet, automatically or by himself) after a time of 4:16 minutes.
It was a great event, when the ballon was rising step by step and to see al the checks and preperations for the jump at the edge of space.
Felix landed without any problems on earth again. Welcome back.

Re: News from the World

Today 23 years ago - 9th October 1989

The Mondy demonstracion in Leipzig stayed peaceful, after all the attacks of East German Police and secret service(STASI)
against people they want to say their opinion only, the last days before. On this Monday started the political change in East Germany.
Four weeks later was fallen down the Berlin wall. On this Monday began not only the reunion of Germany but also this of Europe.
In remembrance of the encouraged 70 000 people they went on the street, when nobody did know how it will end.

Best Regards

Re: News from the World

The first debate comes with the worst nightmare for president obama ….surely one of the worst performance for any incumbent president

Solid performance from romeny …he looks relentless , tremendously aggressive , well prepared , so measured and able to score point after point in every single issue which has been discussed ....

Beside all of that ....The most devastating part of the whole debate was the body language...specially the eye contact part from Obama side

Here's some of the highlights :

....And now what !

When Muhammad Ali was asked what's the secret beyond his excellence and the singular stature in the boxing world …his answer was so simple but also so deep and thoughtful

.....Not because I can land the hardest punch ….But because I can take the hardest punch.....

And despite there will always be some of .." The sages "...who will deny the principle and claiming that the clever one ....is the one who is able to avoid the hard punches from the beginning

But Believe it or not ….In so many times the hard punches are beyond your control… It just hit you without any warning …

Eventually it's just up to you to decide …Whether to learn how can you be able to take them….To handle them ….make them the reason which bring the best of you....

Or to let them bring you down to the lowest level ….Where you would never expect to be there.

One of the most inspiring sides of Obama's character (specially when you take a look at his foreign policy decisions which influence every single part in this world ) is that he sometimes does unbelievable horrible mistakes ….

But in the same time he knows how to immediately maintain his balance while showing amazing temperament… and quickly fixes his mistakes and comes up even more stronger than than he looks before .

There is no doubt the first debate was such a huge blow up on obama's face .....An excellent , well prepared , outstanding republican shot on his side ....To what extend this horrifying poor debate's performance will influence the elections and the voters mind …..Nobody knows ….

But what is so certain is that ...He will come back even more stronger than any time ….That's exactly who he is .

Re: News from the World

again near my cityCry
(AGI) - Bologna, Oct 3. - Confirmation that the 4.5 magnitude earthquake felt in the afternoon in Piacenza no damages comes in a note from Emilia Romagna. The resorts' coming to the epicenter are common Bettola, Morfasso and Bridge Oil. According to the findings recorded by the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology, the earthquake and 'was recorded at 16:41 on 32 km of depth.'
From the first tests carried out by the Italian Situation Room of the Department of Civil Protection, in close contact with administrators, police, fire and health care facilities, there was no damage to people or property. Shock and 'was distinctly felt by the population in various cities' Emilia, including Bologna and Parma, and also in other regions of Northern Italy, Liguria to Piedmont, Lombardy to the Veneto. At the first shock I have followed other more 'mild, with a magnitude of 2.3 and 2.2, also in the area between the Trebbia Valley and the Val di Taro.

New York (United States) The photo of a strange animal found dead on the shore of the East River in Manhattan is sparking speculation the strangest and most disturbing. In fact, as you can see in the picture on the right taken by Denise Ginley not far from the Brooklyn Bridge, is easy to identify the remains. For some it is a pig "advanced" by a barbecue, then modified by weathering, but the theory did not convince everyone.

Hi Shaky,

this cannot happen in Belgium only, it is possible in Germany too.
We have discussions a lot about the wellfare of the criminals (the psychiatrists estimate them and say: Yes, he had a very hard chilhood and bla bla bla...)
but no-one cares for the victims of their doing. This case wouldn't be the first in history when a churchly institution give sanctuary for desperados.
In my opinion she should spend the rest of their life in the deepest dungeon and her husband in a seperated one.
Very thrilling question is, when will her monster of husband follow...

Best Regards Shaky.
