The state of the forum (ETV)

Watching the "WHO'S ONLINE?" list can be quite fascinating ...

You can see well known and respected members appear ... stay for some time ... then disappear without leaving a trace.
Maybe, as [hidden link - please register], this has now become a 'Read (well, quick glance) Only Area'.

Personally, I read some of the topics, get halfway through writing a reply and then abandon all hope thinking "What's the point!"

Re: The state of the forum (ETV)

I use yours: Please Rescue Our Shows. Cool
Not only for the polemics around eroticism. But also for the view of the events around us. many times it's a warning about areas that we would not even notice, or reminders of the events that were.

Re: The state of the forum (ETV)

Hello just wondering if any of you lot are still alive on this forum. Just had a look at the recent posts and not one single opinion posted in days apart from some weirdo commenting about lovely feet and the usual begging posts. Is this a forum or just a place where members log in to download videos before logging out without so much of a how are you doing. I think this forum might be dead and also the shows too. Just one big fucking shitfest throughout the whole board of channels in the UK and beyond so don't be expecting any uploads from me in a hurry as there is fuck all worth recording now or sharing for that matter. Have a good day gents. It's been great having the banter with you lot as always Thumb up

Re: The state of the forum (ETV)

It has to be said, what a boring fucking forum this is turning out to me, since the end of ETV the most dramatic event to happen has been that fucking troll who has been reposting stolen content under different disguises. Elsewhere what are we left with to watch, not much, just scraps, I'm afraid. It's been that much of a porn famine that I am surprised that Bob Geldof hasn't popped his head in the door here and offered to stage a concert and call it Porn Aid for arguments sake Blush

I've been trying desperately to find something of purpose that is actually worth uploading and so far today I have found nothing. I have been checking the Rampant Streams all day and so far its all been so very low key.

The death of so many shows in 2016 and the downward turn in the present ones left has meant that we have absolutely fuck all to talk about now. I joined this forum back in 2009 with the sole purpose of interaction and a great place to find the videos from the shows which you wouldn't find elsewhere. Why I keep logging into here I'll be fucked if I know, perhaps boredom and seeing something all of sudden brilliant happen is one of the reasons Smile

Re: The state of the forum (ETV)

As a personal note and a comment more of a general nature and as to avoid any further potential polemics or rudeness in any of the individual threads I put this here,

I sincerely miss the times where a discussion in this forum, the ETV section, was still possible without any animosities, without the need of personal fights with the subject of disussion of minor issue, if at all. I miss the times when it wasn't necessary to fight to the bone with only personal attacks and insults. Where have all these people gone I ask myself. Maybe they just gave up, or have turned to be phlegmatic, or not giving a dime anymore on any of the repetitive comments. There are a few people around here winding up themselves and their brothers about something that was and is supposed to be a harmless piece of fun. There are also people who still enjoy it. What is actually wrong with that ? I also do not insult you or complain about the pub you are going to when you like to drink beer, and I don't. There are people who dislike what they see. Fair enough also. But still no reason to bust on others. With some you get the impression they have nothing else to deal with in their life. Their feel well seems to depend on a stupid titty channel and the group dynamics they find amongst their brothers in arms right here. Somehow I pitty you, but somehow I cannot care less. I only care when people are treating others unfair without any substantial reason and only to receive kind of commendation of their different minded buddies.

Take it easy guys and you may start to enjoy life again and what it has to offer, besides ETV.

Re: The state of the forum (ETV)

It's all gone a bit quiet here today. The 'discussion' is rather subdued Smile .
Which made me start thinking ... and I've come up with a unique idea ...
We need a new thread ...
Something like a "Day-to-Day" thread, where we can sign in early in the morning and say hello, spend the day popping in and out maintaining a running commentary on how bad the show we are watching is and making derogatory comments about the models on air.
Do you think it might catch on? Or do too many of us have lives? ...

I don't feel the like button is a thx and agree button. I also push it when when I like a post cause it engages in real discussion, real analisys or when it represents a balanced approach, even if I don't agree.

Re: The state of the forum (ETV)

Tarl, i know you (mods) have a lot of work here, and i appreciate it, but i was not talking about all off-topics. There are absolute harmless or funnty off-topics, it´s ok, but there are personal attacks/personal provocations/personal mockery- off-topics, and this are the off-topics i was talking about:

Wilsonsand wrote:.. starts an off-topic attack/provocation to the guy who has posted something he doesn´t like. I think the off-topics should be more controlled by mods, honestly.

Re: The state of the forum (ETV)

Wilsonsand wrote:I think the off-topics should be more controlled by mods, honestly.

just about this topic and as example for this the Karry incident:
of course no forum member is happy and will agree if his post is moved to off topic or WTF. most/ all will answer, disagree and complain about censorship and some will repost.
also it's always difficult to decide about off topic or not. the first post after hilbert's post was moved to the WTF thread but the member made another post and that one ws already slightly off topic and started (maybe "supported" by the before moved post, too) a discussion with mostly off topic posts (the thread is/ should be about the etv model Karry). your answer to hilbert including a Thx and agree is kind of off topic, too. the Thx & Agree is exactly the idea of the Like button under the posts.
so when I've entered the forum I've found in the Karry D&C hilberts post on page 2 which means that more than 15 posts have been made after this and most or all of these posts are not or maybe only slightly about Karry. so it's difficult to decide what to do about this. keeping it this way, moving single posts to a certain or different thread, moving all posts, deleting single posts, deleting all posts or whatever. (not to mention that every single post must be moved as the Mods still have no options like checkboxes to move more than 1 post a time)

so it's on the one side a problem of not being online 24/7 and on the other side the problem of personal decision what is off topic or not.
it's not easy and we make mistakes, too. also often every Mod got his own decision about this and we cannot discuss every single topic, not to forget that we would be anyway too late with every case and thus discussion are usually only about important topics.
we try to do our very best and must trust in the forum members.

What if you are a regular complainer like me?
Which crew do I belong in?
