Help on recieving channels

Hi there, great site you guys have here, tho i'm not sure at all how i add channels. Ive got a first or second generation sky plus box, ive tried to add the majority of channels that are described here but none have worked. Could anyone be so kind in 'walking me through the basics'?

On which satellite is your dish pointed at ? If it is pointing to the main Sky satellite then you cannot pick up any of the European channels. Most channels discussed here at on Hotbird 16.0 East and a few on Astra at 19.2 East. Sky is at 28.2 East. The distance between them is too great to be able to tune in. |
