Re: Posting embedded videoclips

Personally, I don't post embedded videos on any forum, because I think it slows down the forum too much. I will post links to the original embedded video however, as that doesn't slow the forum down.

But videobam has been having problems virtually from the outset. I tried using them as a temporary measure after the Megaupload incident. But I found there conversion settings far too restrictive, as they virtually destroy any quality the video had in the first place. You spend the time uploading a 2 or 3 hundred megabyte recording, and they convert and compress it down to 50 megabytes. Thumb down That's not something I'm willing to accept.

I get that email as standard if no one as viewed within 30 days, they add a link to the video and all you do is click on it to activate it again, no download or re-upload is needed.

Re: Posting embedded videoclips

Videobam do server updates that don't always go to plan, i started using them last year and not long after they did not work for all UK members normally getting a 404 error or 502 message, i joined there forum and so did other UK members to mention it to them, it took a few weeks but they fixed it.

This is just another bug they will have to fix and no its a blank page for Safari also Smile

Does anybody know if there is something wrong with Videobam? Or perhaps is my computer fault?
Please can you carry out checks here [hidden link - please register] or here [hidden link - please register] ?
Thanks for your feedbacks!

P.S. I suggest that the moderators change the header from "Posting Megavideo files" to "Posting embedded videoclips".

I'm not sure about the correct link but I would assume a link like
[hidden link - please register]
and if I try to watch this clip on the videobam website I'll see nothing on their website, too.

but as said I'm not sure about it and so a test with a correct link would be helpful.
OS is Windoof 7 Prostitute 64-bit and the tested browser Firefox 12.

and it should be possible to rename the title of this thread, too. if it isn't possible it would be another problem. Confused

Searching I got it! (writing IJOdY between videobam and /videobam in square brackets)

but for the moment Videobam is a very poor service!

They are upgrading there service all the time which effects what you see or don't as the case normally is [hidden link - please register]

Re: Posting embedded videoclips

Directly under the videostream, there is the "embed"-Button, there you can fix the videosize, and on the right side there is the code. But the code is in html-tags, I don't know, if there's a way to get it in BBCode.
Hope, this is what you asked for.

[edit] Ok, you know where to find the code, but not how to embed it. You need the BBCode. But I'm not sure if this is allowed in this forum.
