If it's just about watching try GOM Player and Media Player Classic Home Cinema.
Maybe you also should check the recording properties of your sat receiver, if there are options set recording to Audio and Video only.

Somehow hasn't changed anything.
But I found when playing the original recorder files with GOM Player theses are flawless.
Has anyone an idea if or how to use GOM Player's Codec for Corel Studio Pro4?

I'm struggling with artefacts in my recordings (in some of my videos you will notice it) though my TV picture is flawless, and TSdoctor doesn't find any problem and also doesn't change anything.

In most cases it's caused by different decoders used by the players or insufficient demuxing skills from the video editor.
Try to update ffdshow(-tryout) with actual codecs (videohelp, doom9 ....)
Install MPC-HC and/or VLC.
Then it should work fine.

In case of editing probs try to demux and use seperate A/V stream for editing.

dirk362 wrote:I've used TSDoctor but found it can be cumbersome although newer version 1.1 is supposedly easier.
My main problem is that it's not free, and pretty much all the same things can be achieved with freeware.
Working on TS files myself, I use ProjectX (Java, so cross-platform) and demux then afterwards re-mux output files with either mplex (in Linux) or ImagoMPEG-Muxer (in Windows) both of which are also free...
Surely I'm using ProjectX too, of course!
It was the first tool I ever used for manipulating TS streams (together with cuttermaran).
It's perfect for "cable" streams, feeded with sat signals it can only correct about 85% of the material TS-Doctor does.
Also it's only for MPEG-2, MPEG-4(AVC, h.264) isn't supported.

When using ProjectX on ETV-Streams it's highly recommanded to choose remuxed TS! format for output, as the demux variant will drop too much frames.
If you need demuxed A/V streams for accurate framecut like cuttermaran/MGEG2Schnitt or other I recommand tsMuxer/tsMuxerGUI (if PRjX sucks).

Joker1305 wrote:Today I had the first time a damaged TS file which lead to crash of Corel Video Studio.
TSDoctor could fix it, as I'm only using the trial version which expires soon I also tried Avidemux.
Selected "copy" for Video + Audo, selected output format "MPEG-TS (A+V)" and then saved video and it also worked fine
AVIdemux is a cutting tool with (de-)muxing features, it cannot repair stream faults, only muxing faults, tsMuxer (tsremux) should do the same but quicker.

Stream repair is only possible with TS-Doctor,
