Arsene Wenger set to sign two-year Arsenal contract.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is set to sign a new contract at the club, ending all speculation about his future. However, instead of signing a three-year deal, which he has traditionally signed at the club, the Frenchman is set to be handed only two more years. Initially Wenger was offered a three-year contract when negotiation began last year, but as it stands, the Frenchman will commit his future to two years instead. Cesare Prandelli signs extension to manage Italy through 2016
Italy coach Cesare Prandelli has agreed to a two-year contract extension, keeping him in charge of the team until 2016. Prandelli says ''I am proud of the fact the Italian federation offered me an extension regardless of the results at the World Cup, and that's why I was completely willing.'' Prandelli's contract was set to run until after the World Cup in Brazil, but his new deal will take him through to the European Championship in France. [hidden image - please register] |

Injuries: De Sciglio sprains ankle, out for at least 2 weeks
MATTIA DE SCIGLIO suffered a sprain in his right ankle against Lazio and his situation will be re-evaluated in 14 days. Things are just not going Milan’s way this season; the Rossoneri did stop their losing streak, drawing Lazio 1-1 on Sunday evening at the Olimpico but also lost arguably their best defender to injury as De Sciglio had to walk off in the 84′ minute. De Sciglio started the game on the right flank but had to be substituted by Daniele Bonera and the Italy fullback is set to miss the games against Fiorentina, Chievo and Genoa at the very least as he’ll only be checked again in two weeks. Bundesliga: Brazil defender Dante signs new contract with Bayern Munich
Brazil international Dante has signed a one-year contract extension at Bayern Munich, the Bundesliga club announced on Monday. The 30-year-old centre-back will now remain at Bayern until at least June 2017, having joined the club from Borussia Monchengladbach two years ago. "It was the best decision of my life to come to Bayern," Dante told the club's official website. "Everything here is good: the club, the team, the title wins, the mood. Bavaria is the right club for me. "Therefore, I remain very happy to stay at least until 2017 in Munich. I am sure we can still have a lot of fun and success with our team in the coming years."
