Then happened the so named "Gabon Air Disaster" A lot of members of the same team lost their life in an airplane crash on the 27th April 1993 when Zambia's national team was on board on a flight to Senegal for a qualification match for the participation in the world championship tournament in the U.S.A. 1994. The airplane crashed in the Atlantic Ocean after a refueling stop in Libreville, the capital of Gabon. The tragedy is named after the last place on earth when the passengers were still alive... So I will keep my fingers crossed for Zambia. They deserve it. Greets |

African Cup of Nations
Today, the semi-finals were held. Zambia - Ghana 1:0 Mali - Ivory Coast 0:1 Final Zambia - Ivory Coast Watching the match I noticed that the level of African football have declined. From what we have seen in the 80s and especially 90 |
