So Tuesday night their lifting the self imposed ban on wishes that made a lot of money for Eurotic and was the reason the channel was king till a couple of years ago. Sure they will show all your fav wishes being carried out. But it will be to the same censored standard of today- not the 'old school' shows of yesteryear. So if anybody gets a better offer on a Tuesday night like painting doors and watching them dry--I suggest you take it. The cracks are finally appearing in Eurotics bubble

But if you send from a mobile phone your service provider will deduct the money as soon as the message is sent and ETV won't be able to refund because they only have the phone number, and the mobile service provider won't refund his not negligible fee anyway. I did not send a message in ages, but I can say this is wrong. The mechanism is as follows: - the viewer sends an sms - the sms is being checked - the sms gets approval = credits deducted - sms shown on plasma - show performed alternatively - the sms does not get approval = no credits deducted - sms not shown on plasma - no show performed |

2) there is no difference between free show and exclusive show, same boring sh*t! 3) they are covering their inability with a lot of bullsh*t (art, feeling, bla bla bla)! 4) videos are really crappy (bad lights, stupid ideas, schizophrenic cameras) For these reasons and other 100, i will not send anymore a cent to E(enjoy) T(the) V(vacuum). |

After having read all below I agree that the present business strategy of ETV is rather confusing
More then once I tried to figure where is the money coming in ? Calls are increasingly of lesser importance. Same goes for sms. Customers who made use of either or are apparently being brushed of one or the other way. The only thing that comes to my humble mind is the videos. The shows in the Internet are made to have material to sell, and the TV shows are there to advertise the videos and to promote the video page. I can imagine this is a pretty big market. People love to collect even if it is only electronical data. In the midterm the audience paying for the life exclusive / premium shows is financing the production of the videos. Almost no cost for the internet show with ETV as long as the viewing /paying crowd is big enough. And thereafter make the real money with selling the videos. Any money the TV shows bring in terms of calls or sms is just a nice additional. Apparently they are even able to scrap on the sms and return the credits or don't even deduct them once somebody decides the wish not being suitable for the ongoing show This is just my personal speculation and thus certainly unproven. |
