Re: International Soccer - General Discussion

Aberdeen to win the Scottish Premiership Rallkin123, I sincerely hope that you are correct. It would be fantastic for Scottish football if Celtics monopoly could be broken, as for sevco, I hope they have another barren season winning he haw...........afterall they did get knocked out of Europe by a pub team so a good start for them and great for the rest of Europe that they don't have to put up with there supporters singing all their sectarian bile Smile

All the best to Liverpool, another sleeping giant so if they could win the English Premier league then this too would be very refreshing, its been a long long time since Liverpool won it as you have to go back to season 1989/90 when Kenny Dalglish was player manager the last time this became a reality. Cheers for backing Dundee United to win the 2nd Tier Thumb up

Re: International Soccer - General Discussion

Only predict the leagues you want to mate Smile The only thing you need to know about the Scottish Championship is that the football is brutal, physical and route 1. Not many teams will actually get the ball down on the surface and play silky soccer as the teams in that division just don't let you play football the way it should be played. The big name team and the big scalp will obviously be my team Dundee United as we are the bookies favourites for the league and every team that plays us will automatically raise their game, in particular Brechin City who have a dingy wee ground and will be in awe of our stadium when they come to Tannadice Smile

Our team on paper should win the division by a country mile. The English leagues are a bit more difficult to predict as you only need to look at Leicester City 2 seasons ago. The spanish league as far as I concerned is a 2 horse race between Barcelona and Real Madrid. Just a bit of fun mate, pre season is always a good time to make wild predictions.

Re: International Soccer - General Discussion

It is early to make a prediction before the transfer is complete. I read of news about Gareth Bale to return to Tottenham; if this happens it can mean they will be a favorite. I am not the expert of the Scottish Championship. Also who can Barcelona buy when they have so much money for the sale of Neymar? SOme big stars can move before August.

Re: International Soccer - General Discussion

If you don't mind me saying gents. This Thread is lacking somewhat so why not mix it up slightly with an interactive prediction for the season ahead. These are my league winners predictions. Who's next to add to this. No prizes up for grabs just something which I like to commonly refer to as fun Smile

English Premier League - Manchester United
English Championship - Leeds United
Scottish Premiership - Celtic
Scottish Championship - Dundee United
Serie A - Juventus
La Liga - Barcelona

Edit - On Wednesday night BT Sports will be showing the Dundee Derby in the 2nd round of the Betfred Cup. Incase our European cousins are unaware of the importance of this in Scotland here is a preview of what to expect.

There is a shocking result in Womens Euro 2017. Denmark defeats Germany 2-1 and Germany can not be champions 7 times after another.
