George A. Romero, "Night of the Living Dead" creator, dies at 77 ...

Romero died Sunday in his sleep after a “brief but aggressive battle with lung cancer,” according to a family
statement to The Times provided by his longtime producing partner, Peter Grunwald. He was 77.

[hidden image - please register]

It was the night of April 4, 1968, and George A. Romero was driving to New York City from Pittsburgh on a mission:
In the days to come he was to meet with film studios in hopes that one might buy the horror film he was lugging in his trunk, “Night of the Flesh Eaters.”

None of the studios was interested, but Romero still managed to get his $114,000 film in front of audiences that year.
And though critics panned the picture, retitled “Night of the Living Dead,” moviegoers were mesmerized — packing theaters,
hitting the drive-ins in droves and making Romero the father of the modern movie zombie. Romero’s “Living Dead” franchise
went on to create a subgenre of horror movie whose influence across the decades has endured, seen in movies like “The Purge”
and TV shows like “The Walking Dead.”

Cool

The city in the fire. How Hamburg suffered from extremists ...

Hamburg, Germany, was on fire as up to 100,000 left wing extremists have descended upon the city to protest, injuring
more than 100 police officers and doing untold damage prior to the start of this weekend’s G20 summit.

[hidden image - please register]

[hidden image - please register]

Scenes from the smoky city skyline look eerily similar to those of Middle Eastern war zones.

“Activists torched more cars, vandalised shops, threw petrol bombs, set fire to patrol vehicles near a police station
and even fired flares at the several police helicopters buzzing overhead,” reports AFP.

[hidden image - please register]

The intentions of these ‘black block’ activists are clear: they hope to ignite chaos across the West, and they are
prepared to clash violently with police and military if necessary.

[hidden image - please register]

“With 200 people we have shown to millions of people that it’s possible to bring people onto the streets and make clear
that we are not going to simply accept everything decided by the people at the top,” said one unnamed activist in Hamburg.
“And we believe that we have brought across a pretty good message — that it’s possible to protest and that there is no need to be scared of the police.”

[hidden image - please register]

In addition to barbarous mayhem, some anti-capitalist leftists are staging ‘zombie’ marches to demonstrate their ‘political apathy.’

[hidden image - please register]

Despite police presence of up to 20,000 officers from all around Germany and Austria, reinforcements are still being
called in as ‘protests’ are expected to escalate in ferocity through the weekend.

[hidden image - please register]

#NoG20 and ‘Welcome to Hell’ march organizer Andreas Blechschmidt claims that law enforcement’s response has been ‘too rough’ and ‘heavy handed.’
“The police should have reacted proportionally… It wasn’t necessary,” he said. “There are a lot of people injured.”

So what awaits us next?

Otto Warmbier - US student sent home from North Korea dies

[hidden image - please register]

So brutal is the North Korean detention system that a perfectly healthy and innocent American who was given a 15 year sentence last year after attempting to bring home a political propaganda poster from a hotel he was staying in has died as his condition was the reason for his early release aswell as mistreatment being an obvious factor. Only 21 at the time of his arrest, his one act of stupidity effectively cost him his life. North Korea is a brutal country and along with Saudi Arabia is the worst country in the world. I think calling these places hell would be a compliment to hell! - [hidden link - please register]

Well, it's not that 1 dimensional. Also the democrats won't dare to significantly restrict the gun laws because they want to be elected again.
I have some American friends and all of them have guns.
In first place most Americans need a gun to feel being able to defend family and property, like many Germans need an Autobahn without speed limit to feel free.
And in rural areas you need a gun because of wild animals. Especially bears meanwhile enter the outskirts of the big cities.
So it will be really difficult to balance the completely opposite requirements between both.
And on the other hand there are so many guns in the U.S., even if they completely stop selling new ones the situation won't really change for several years.

Of course this shooting is a tragedy, but sorry: to put the blame on the "Mainstream Media" coverage of Trump is, imho, ridiculous.
If you want to read or watch real hatred in the media, take a look at Breitbart, Infowars, Fox etc. Or listen to some of Trumps own speeches.
