The rich control the government, the media the law. To make some kind of difference. Then everyone must know. Eradicate the fascists, revolution will grow.

Re: News from the World

Actually I'm more concerned the signal to the EU leaders.
For UK this even may be an advantage in the negotiatons which may lead to reasonable contracts without thoughts of revenge.
But after the latest statemens of Juncker, Schulz, Oettinger and Schaeuble I'm concerned they don't understand at all what they did and are doing wrong and even seem to feel more safe in regards to the growing nacionalist parties.
The Brexit will kill neither EU nor UK, but the ignorance of the the EU Administration and -leaders may be successful Cry

Re: News from the World

Yeah I agree with maximmus, I can however see how connell may be led to believe that the UK is in absolute turmoil. Politically yes it is, however in the grand scheme of things we are not. The UK is and still is one of the richest countries in the world so any thought of a great depression happening is just sheer story telling on behalf of the media who have been making these half baked claims. We did just fine before joining the European Union and we'll do just fine outside of it.

The European Union are the ones in chaos, not the United Kingdom.

Oops forgot the great Bmw 's.The party i prefer needed a shake up the leader is an unelectable person as far as South East England goes .Northern Ireland will never want to leave the United Kingdom as long as the majority are protestant. The Scottish are fed up no matter what they do they end up governed by Tories and to be honest the sooner Cameron is gone the better.Yes Easy jet are flexing its muscles and Ryan air arent deploying thir newest jets here later this year in a childish tantram

Hi maximmus,
I mean mainly the political chaos. Proponents of the Brexit will disappear from the scene and no one has a real plan what to do now.
You are not confused about that?

I keep my fingers crossed that you does not reach the chaos and everything remains for you the same. But we are still far away from the right Brexit.
These demonstrations of Brexit opponents, increasing xenophobia and a possible secession of Schootland and Northern Ireland, that sounds for me a little bit like chaos too.
But I live not in the UK and can only hear the news or follow the internet.

For most, nothing will change and trade will continue and cars are delivered.
No one will stop this.
For now, only a few companies think about a withdraw from the UK (Vodafone, Visa, Easyjet and BMW). If you don´t work for one of them, maybe everything is fine.
And I hope for you, it stays that way.
Only time will tell.

Re: News from the World

Sad to here that news Alan. I didn't even know she was ill but in saying that the nature of her demise hardly surprises me. Caroline was a very heavy chain smoker and I guess there is just so much your lungs can tolerate. I remember her fondly from the Royle Family, a sitcom that she co wrote with Craig Cash.

Re: News from the World

Britain's finance minister George Osborne talked today about tax rises. (i thought they now save over £ 350 million each week)
On twitter you can read under hashtag #PostRefRacism #PostBrexitRacism, what now happen in the UK.

And Nigel Farage insulted the EU and thinks the UK has the power in the negotiations.
I do not and will by the delay of the exit to extort better results for the UK, will be fail.
Was this really what the UK wanted to achieve?

If at the end the UK really was the winner with the EU.
