Filesonic RIP?

Has filesonic taken the soft option?

After what has happened with MegaUpload, filesonic had taken the choice to only allow users to access their own files for download.

All sharing functionality on FileSonic is now disabled. Our service can only be used to upload and retrieve files that you have uploaded personally.

If this file belongs to you, please login to download it directly from your file manager.

How long until other hosting/sharing sites follow this option?

Re: Filesonic RIP?

may NOW is the best time to post a reaction about all this...

it's a time thing as i think...

in 2004/05 this filesharing software named 'eDonkey2000' was gone right before it was known - I've knewn this filesharing software by friends - never seen any about it online...
in 2007/08 the filesharing got more important and i've seen more and more in the news about the NEW FILESHARING softwares 'eMule' and 'Limewire'...
end of 2008 - both softwares had to face that they are ILLEGAL and so they have been kicked out and I faced the truth about some people I once called 'friends'...
in 2009 or 2010 it was everywhere whereever you have been at the moment in the news: "filesharing is illegal!" or "eMule - new software - DOWNLOAD!" and such main titles...
in late 2010 the filesharing was forgotten and unspoken. why? - because no actual software wsa still active! Smile
sommer 2011 - after the death of the "oldschool" kind of filesharing - filesharing had the big comeback with "megaupload", "rapidshare" and "torrent" in the news!
end of 2011 - "torrent" was now known for the same as once in the beginning "eMule" and "Limewire" - it was ILLEGAL and so it has been kicked out - never spoken about it and never seen it again!
...now...
summer 2012 - sites like "megaupload", "filesonic" and such others are know as ILLEGAL and so they also got kicked out - WHO's NEXT??? I am sure it will be "rapidshare" - for sure! Smile
