Re: How to record Streams?!

Thx for the guide, switchblade, very useful.

In the guide, you mention about the -T command to use with secure or protected streams. My question is: that command can be used with eurotic ELS (the exclusive web) when it goes to "logged in members"?

Thx in advance.

Re: How to record Streams?!

Hello guys, I am determined once again to help people having trouble with RTMPDump. I had some limitations to posting guides in these forums so instead I made a Google Doc you guys can use. I made a Google doc tutorial to using RTMPDump for people new to Command Line. Its a simple step by step guide, it may look long when you see it but its not, just read everything and you should be fine.

So I made the Guide [hidden link - please register]
And a list of already made Live Show Stream Codes [hidden link - please register]
Read the guide first!

So now we can refer people who need help to this Doc. I figure this is the best way in case this Forum gets backed up and my guides get pushed down. And I can keep the Stream Codes up to date too.

Re: How to record Streams?!

Sorry for the confusion, you can't just simply copy and paste the entire codes I posted. The forst string is where you have RTMPDump.exe located, I posted where I have mine, you can post the folder on your Desktop and you will have to change the following " C:/Users/switchblade1984/Desktop\rtmpdump-20110925-git-6230845-win32/rtmpdump.exe" to "
C:/Users/YourWindowsUserFolderNameHere/Desktop/rtmpdump-20110925-git-6230845-win32/rtmpdump.exe" I put YourWindowsUserFolderNameHere where you should put the name of your User folder is called, typically what your Windows Login name is.

Also please note, (THIS IS IMPORTANT TO EVERYONE WHO MIGHT BE HAVING TROUBLE) that this Forum is stripping my Back Slashes so for this part I put Forward Slashes you will have to change them to Back Slashes but everything after that portion is correct you can copy and paste the end parts. Use a .txt file and make the first part and copy that to many lines and you can just paste what comes after RTMPDUMP.exe. But another important note is to make sure the spacing is all the same, if you see a string like this {-r "rtmpe://orcadigital.mpl.miisolutions.net/wavemachine-live01/" -f "WIN 11,2,202,235"} make sure its spaced exactly like that, don't add even 1 extra space it should always be formatted like this, {command/space/Quotation Mark/Link/Quotation Mark/space} {-T "http://Whatever.com/whatever" -W ""http://Whatever.com/whatever"}

Please let me know if require further assistance.

Re: How to record Streams?!

I can't get this to work and i feel like something isn't set up correctly. I'm using Windows Vista if that makes a difference.

Basically CMD tells me it isn't a recognised command etc when i use

C:Usersswitchblade1984Desktoprtmpdump-20110925-git-6230845-win32rtmpdump.exe rtmpdump -r "rtmpe://playback.d2see.com/wavemachine-live01/" -f "WIN 11,7,700,224" -W "http://players.d2see.com/player/redlightcentral/jwplayer/swf/jwplayer.commercial.securestreaming-5.9-modified-wavemachine-live01.swf" -p "http://players.d2see.com/player/redlightcentral/player.php?channel=1&member=false&width=646&height=364&nmtl=http://playboytvchat.com/join.html" -T "S8ocT5w56i5G" --live -y "playboytv_channel1" -o RLC1.flv

The thing that sticks out for me is that CMD automatically gives me C:\Users\Alex> when i open it and using C: twice in a command looks weird. Is that the problem? Cheers for helping!

EDIT:
Right i figured out what i did wrong. You miss out the bit about C:Users etc and start at desktop. You also have to put in your own "slashes" (the ones next to the Z key).

Re: How to record Streams?!

Yes they seem to work. My question was more aimed at understanding how to get the codes (if it's not a secret). Reason being I was trying to record the etv els (not the normal live) but the feed I get listening with rtmpsrv is not valid. And the one I get for the live is also not valid and different from yours. If I can understand how you came up with the lilve one I'll may be able to apply it to the els too...... Smile

Re: How to record Streams?!

Thanks for your reports guys, I haven't recorded anything in a few days, it looks like some code was changed. I updated the codes in my post below, all should work fine now, I also added a few to the Others part including "Play Me TV" "ThaiChat" "Storm Babes" And "Chatgirl Hardcore". I also fixed the "EuroticTV" one too so that's working as well. Please let me know if they stop working again, hopefully it wont be for a while. Big Grin

Thanks for the commands they work well. I would like to know how did you get to that one because I have tried myself to find the proper one for the web live shows (or ELS) without succeeding. The line I get from rmtpsrv is not good and if I am amend it trying to follow your indication is not better. ......

Can't remember where I read this, but the "astra_1/eurotic.flv has changed to (I believe) "DE_feed/etvshow_1" for LQ and "DE_feed/etvshow_2" for HQ.

Re: How to record Streams?!

Hey Switchblade!

Thanks for posting a guide on how to use Rtmpdump I found it really helpful, I followed it and it worked perfectly for all the streams apart from RLC.

When I enter the code into cmd prompt that you provided in your post I get this error message:
ERROR: RTMP_HashSWF: couldn't contact swfurl jwplayer/swf/jwplayer.commercial-5.9.swf (HTTP error -1)

Then it says Connecting.... INFO: Connected but gets stuck there and fails to download the stream like the others do showing the speed etc.

I wonder if you or anyone else knows how to remedy the problem? Any help would be great!

Re: How to record Streams?!

Saw some people asking how to record other streams like ETV, and so on. Following my guide below you can use these codes to record the streams. Even though you can record stream like RLC, Blue Bird with Replay Media Catcher I find it better quality and easier to record with RTMPDump. So here are a few more codes for you guys to use.

Chatgirl Hardcore was working when the stream first started, don't know if they changed it since or if it will come back but you can try it out if you see the channel come back.

Re: How to record Streams?!

I am going to rewrite my Recording Studio66 with RTMPDump Guide because I see people confused so I will try to make it more clearer.

Download RTMPDUMP from Here, no where else. [hidden link - please register] Go down to about the middle of the page, you will see 3 links
2010-06-30: Download source tarball rtmpdump-2.3.tgz
2013-01-09: Download Windows build rtmpdump-2.4-git-010913-windows.zip
2010-06-30: Download Android build rtmpdump-2.3-android.zip

Assuming your with Windows get the windows one, download it to your desktop, extract the folder on the desktop (Don't scatter the files on the Desktop, extract the folder so it makes a folder the same name as the file)

Once that is done that pretty much all you have to do, open Command Prompt by clicking on (For Windows) Start then in the search type CMD then click Enter. Use the following code in CMD Prompt and it should start downloading your stream(s)

Channel 1:

C:\Users\switchblade1984\Desktop\rtmpdump-20110925-git-6230845-win32\rtmpdump.exe rtmpdump -r "rtmpe://orcadigital.mpl.miisolutions.net/wavemachine-live01/_definst_/" -a "wavemachine-live01/" -W "jwplayer/swf/jwplayer.commercial-5.9-modified-live05.swf" -T "S8ocT5w56i5G" --live -y "studio66tv_channel1" -o elite_channel1.flv

Channel 2:

C:\Users\switchblade1984\Desktop\rtmpdump-20110925-git-6230845-win32\rtmpdump.exe rtmpdump -r "rtmpe://orcadigital.mpl.miisolutions.net/wavemachine-live01/_definst_/" -a "wavemachine-live01/" -W "jwplayer/swf/jwplayer.commercial-5.9-modified-live05.swf" -T "S8ocT5w56i5G" --live -y "studio66tv_channel2" -o elite_channel2.flv

Channel 3:

C:\Users\switchblade1984\Desktop\rtmpdump-20110925-git-6230845-win32\rtmpdump.exe rtmpdump -r "rtmpe://orcadigital.mpl.miisolutions.net/wavemachine-live01/_definst_/" -a "wavemachine-live01/" -W "jwplayer/swf/jwplayer.commercial-5.9-modified-live05.swf" -T "S8ocT5w56i5G" --live -y "studio66tv_channel3" -o elite_channel3.flv

Channel 4:

C:\Users\switchblade1984\Desktop\rtmpdump-20110925-git-6230845-win32\rtmpdump.exe rtmpdump -r "rtmpe://orcadigital.mpl.miisolutions.net/wavemachine-live01/_definst_/" -a "wavemachine-live01/" -W "jwplayer/swf/jwplayer.commercial-5.9-modified-live05.swf" -T "S8ocT5w56i5G" --live -y "studio66tv_channel4" -o elite_channel4.flv

These codes are assuming you have been following the tutorial and the name of the folder on the desktop RTMPDUMP is in is called rtmpdump-20110925-git-6230845-win32. If not change the codes to this for example...

C:\Users\switchblade1984\Desktop\NEWFOLDERNAME\rtmpdump.exe rtmpdump -r "rtmpe://orcadigital.mpl.miisolutions.net/wavemachine-live01/_definst_/" -a "wavemachine-live01/" -W "jwplayer/swf/jwplayer.commercial-5.9-modified-live05.swf" -T "S8ocT5w56i5G" --live -y "studio66tv_channel1" -o elite_channel1.flv

Your files will download in your username folder in Windows. If you are using VLC player you can open the file as soon as it starts downloading and it will live preview it. To stop downloading just close the CMD Window.

You can tell its downloading cause it will show you KB/s per second at the bottom on the prompt going up, if that stops then you will have to start it again simply by pasting in the code again but before you do that please note that if you restart a stream the program will overwrite the previous file, please go to where it downloads and move the file into a different folder to avoid accidentaly overwriting downloaded files cause they do not go to the recycling bin!

To record multiple streams at once just open 4 separate CMD windows and put different channel codes in each of them, again as started above if you where to put channel 1 in more then one window it will overwrite the file so be carefully what you put in and keep track of which window is recording what stream.

In my opinion this program gives you the best quality you can get and doesn't slow down your PC as its recording, highly recommended over the GUI's and even Replay Media Catcher.

All codes have been tested and are working as of date this is posted and I will edit it should they change.

Re: How to record Streams?!

Hmm....

I see ETV changed settings of the TV stream on the website. So, the rtmp explorer doesn't work.

Yes, I know this "problem".

- Open a new txt-file
- Write in this txt-file all what you can see in the command window of rtmp-explorer between "WARNING:...." and "Closing connection..." (it starts with "rtmpdump -r ..." and goes over more lines)
- rename this *.txt-file in *.cmd (batch file)
- start this batch

Important note: I must have open the browser window with the video too, otherwise the stream will stop after a view seconds.

Doesn´t work for some sites!
