Re: Megaupload & Other File Host Problems

I think that more than MEGA, the better is depositfile, i'm 21 files Sexysat on depositfile with names like Michellexxx, naomixxx, nicolexxx etc etc, but not one is eliminated for violation, and did not the limit of 200 mb. I recommend using MEGA or Depositfile Smile Thumb upThumb up

I decided that I will use MEGA and other hosting services more flexible Envy

I think its very unlikely that a real person of mediafire checks the accounts.

I have also had problems @mediafire with deleted files due to violation of terms. Its helpful to know that mediafire doesnt accept sexual related material.
Thats why you should be careful how you name your files.
Whenever I gave names like "MichelleXXX..." or Emma_Hot...", I could be sure these files were deleted. Now I give insuspicious names (Michelle150113...)
and haven´t had any problems at all.

I also thought that this is the problem of the violation, but I decided to use other services that still offering storage for files that exceed the limit of 200 mb and do not incur the risk of being deleted, goodbye Mediafire!

Your not the only one mate, I got about another 20 emails this morning from them saying that 20 files now violate their terms of service, and a strike against my account has been implied. This time it seems there filename checking bot has got around to filenames containing the words "sex" or "xxx" in them. As all the files deleted this time were SportXXX or SexStation files.

So from this point on, I will no longer be including any Mediafire links within my video posts. I'll just stick to Rapidshare at present.

Re: Megaupload & Other File Host Problems

the only removed file at Mediafire was named SexySat-Michelle-XXX and I must confirm I didn't chose the best name. Blush
names like this aren't a problem at my other/ former hosters like RS or MU.
and yes, they are searching for names and don't check the files. the only vid with XXX in the name was removed while other vids with girls using a toy (e.g. the DestinyStar or Sophia Knight vids) are still only. most vids at Mediafire are vids with mfc soft models or etv vids. unlikely that any of these are too hard for Mediafire. Big Grin

at my RapidGator account are 100-200 files removed so far but it takes only a min for a reup by remote from RS. Big Grin
all other hosters are so far without any problems.

btw: the best hoster at the moment seems to be [hidden link - please register]. only this could become a problem. Confused Pornographic content is prohibited.

I haven't read it yet but the summary looks quite interesting. Smile

Piracy and Movie Revenues: Evidence from Megaupload

Christian Peukert

Ludwig-Maximilians-University Munich, Institute for Strategy, Technology and Organization

Jörg Claussen

October 22, 2012

Abstract:
In this paper we make use of a quasi-experiment in the market for illegal downloading to study movie box office revenues. Exogenous variation comes from the unexpected shutdown of the popular file hosting platform Megaupload.com on January 19, 2012. The estimation strategy is based on a quasi difference-in-differences approach. We compare box office revenues before and after the shutdown to a matched control group of movies unaffected by the shutdown.

We find that the shutdown had a negative, yet insignificant effect on box office revenues. This counterintuitive result may suggest support for the theoretical perspective of (social) network effects where file-sharing acts as a mechanism to spread information about a good from consumers with zero or low willingness to pay to users with high willingness to pay.

Thanks for the reply, I have just tried logging in today and it's back to normal again, strange why it wouldn't work last night but at least it's back now Big Grin

Re: Megaupload & Other File Host Problems

Hello again... it's been some time that I can't see preview screen caps (images generally) that have been hosted in imagebam. I only see the link in posts and when im trying to get into imagebam there's a message of a problem connection. I'm wondering, am I the only one who has this problem?
