As some of you may have noticed the forum has been flooded with rubbish posts, mainly from members who didn't have 25 posts yet, in order to be able to access the forum during busy server times. In order to avoid this we have introduced a new member level called "VIP member". VIP members are active members posting clips and contributing to the forum in a positive way.
At present all members with 30+ posts have automatically been given "VIP Member" status. Other members who have not reached VIP status yet will be hand-picked, that means that it makes no sense anymore to flood the forum with rubbish and one-liners like "Thank you" and "I love you". From now on it's quality that matters. If we notice that a new member actively participates in the forum, makes good and constructive posts or offers self-made clips he will be given "VIP Member" status. What's a VIP Member? The advantage of VIP members (marked green) is that they have access to the forum anytime, also when the server is too busy because of too much traffic. |

Hi kaiserfranz,
The best way is by adding good discussion/content or both, the way not to get VIP status is by flooding the forum with posts that add nothing to a discussion or spamming to get as many posts as possible. Btw welcome to the forum

There is something that maybe would of been best posted at the time, for all members information the VIP status is now less important than it was at the time it started.
The reason for this is, thanks to Admin he decided to upgrade the server a couple of weeks ago, it as been tested on a daily basis by logging out and seeing if you get put on the server is busy page, which it seems to do when there are 300 members on site, which only effects guests, after that it is tested by signing in on a test account that as no VIP status and works ok after. We will keep testing it this way as its the only way to do it. All members are now on a equal basis VIP or not, even guests benefit. Test it yourselves but not with a test account Thanks to Admin for the upgrade

Tarl have you already forget the great contribution of Zorgaux to this forum and his numerous and great VID and then there are certainly similar cases of members who have been taken directly vip after deleting their posts. So it is time to stop this injustice. |

I understand that not everybody can become a VIP-Member. But not everyboy speaks english very well to send posts and can send videos because he isn´t able to that, like me. So I have never the chance to become VIP-Member, sorry. |

It's nice to see how many forum members are VIPs and how few of these don't know that the V&C thread of an etv models isn't the D&C thread of the model. Every etv model has her own thread for the discussion. If you want to keep your posts it will be the best not to use the V&Cs for any discussion. We are too busy at the moment with keeping this forum clean that we won't move every wrong post.
A manual upgrade to a VIP member is possible but if someone always uses the wrong threads for his posts the downgrade will be possible, too. |
