Re: Formula 1 General Chat & Discussion

Wheather update : there is a prediction of a lot of rain on friday ( 86% )saturday( 70% )
and sunday ( 90% ) ..also there is thunder underway !

Let us all hope that the drivers will and can drive on these days and that the wheater will not destroy this weekends race ...specialy not like last year Sad...ofcourse i would not mind to see a wet race as long that they can drive in it and they can complete the total race distance ! SmileThumb up
So maybe there is a possiblility that the " top 3 voting " can see a delay for entering the names ( with this i mean there can be a slight change that you have a bit longer time to enter your names and addings ..like there was last yeari n a race weekend ... because due the heavy rain and the delay of the start on sunday ! Cool ) I will follow it and i will let it know also !

Friday : 1st practice at 04.00u
: 2nd practice at 08.00u

Saturday : 3rd practice at 07.00u
: qualification at 10.00u

Sunday : race at 10.00u

These times are CET !

Kind Regards
Shaky

Ps: the tv sender ( station) Sport1 ( or known before as DSF) will broadcast on friday morning from 07.00u till 09.30u the 1st and 2nd practice on tv Live !

Re: Formula 1 General Chat & Discussion

A little more on the technical regulations.

Following post-race checks, the Melbourne stewards decided that both Sauber C30s were in breach of technical regulations 3.10.1* and 3.10.2**, in relation to their rear wings.

*Article 3.10.1
"Any bodywork more than 150mm behind the rear wheel centre line which is between 150mm and 730mm above the reference plane, and between 75mm and 355mm from the car centre line, must lie in an area when viewed from the side of the car that is situated between 150mm and 350mm behind the rear wheel centre line and between 300mm and 400mm above the reference plane. When viewed from the side of the car no longitudinal cross section may have more than one section in this area.

** Article 3.10.2
"Other than the bodywork defined in Article 3.10.9, any bodywork behind a point lying 50mm forward of the rear wheel centre line which is more than 730mm above the reference plane, and less than 355mm from the car centre line, must lie in an area when viewed from the side of the car that is situated between the rear wheel centre line and a point 350mm behind it."

kyke50 wrote:Sauber seems to have problems after the race.
Does anyone know anything about this?

Latest update :

The Sauber drivers Kamui Kobayashi and Sergio Pérez have been disqualified from the Australian Grand Prix due to a technical infringement with ‘the uppermost rear wing element’ of the C31. Both drivers will lose their points finishes, with Massa ending up on 7th place , Buemi 8th and both Force India drivers moving in the top 10 so they earn also points ,Sutil 9th and Di Resta 10th place !

A section from the FIA Technical Report reads:
'
Except for the uppermost rear wing element of car numbers 16 and 17 (see previous technical report), all car weights and the items checked were found to be in conformity with the 2011 FIA Formula One Technical Regulations.'

Re: Formula 1 General Chat & Discussion

I hope ,that this time the Ferrari
can not be fooled to trick,
simulated as pitsop Webber -like on
the last race of the season 2010

I hope ,that Ferrari will not blindly follow the strategy of Red Bull pitstops
as at least the last three times (2010)
2 times a worked cool

but the three most important,
This was evidently a trick ,it be
alonso was away from Vettel
and succeeded
Webber- poor team-orders too

All tires have good
Red Bull knew , Ferrari will do what they
So did half the

hihihi

i hope -it is eng. sorry

Re: Formula 1 General Chat & Discussion

Here is the top 10 result of today's qualification :

1. Sebastian Vettel
2. Lewis Hamilton
3. Mark Webber
4. Jenson Button
5. Fernando Alonso
6. Vitaly Petrov
7. Nico Rosberg
8. Felipe Massa
9. Kamui Kobayashi
10. Sébastien Buemi

I hope that this season will not be a repeating of last season with the Red Bulls domintaing the quali's and races Confused
I can't be happy with the result of the Ferrari drivers ...specilay when you know that they almost dominated every time the winter tests Envy
And also it was dissapointed that Schumi did not maked in to the top 10 Sad
So let's see what the race brings us tomorrow ....can there be a surprice ?

Kind Regards
Shaky-Schumi

Ps: don't forget that tonight the hour will be set 1 hour forward...this means that 02.00u will become 03.00u !!!!!!

Re: Formula 1 General Chat & Discussion

I think with the introduction of the 107% rules in the qualification we will not see atleashed 4 cars not making it on to the grid for sundays race Confused and of the drivers could be my fellow country man Jérome D'Ambrosio Sad and for the people of Germany it could be Timo Glock ..both drive for the Marusia Virgin Team ..so i hope for them and for the other drivers that they can all make it within the 107% rules !

And a surprice at the 2nd practice session ...jenson Button drove his McLaren Mercedes car to the 1st place ....and than to think that this team did not made mutch Km during the winter tests .....ofcourse this is just on friday ..and on this day it doesn'd matter mutch because you don't know with what kind of program the other drivers do ..but i find it a bit surpricing ...but ofcourse the more teams to fight for champion the better and more exiting for us Formula1 fans to watch SmileThumb up
And also not to forget how will each driver and team will react and respond with the tyres of Pirelli Cool

Come on ...i want saturday morning allready to see the qualification ....ah ....i'm adicted of watching Formula 1 allready after these practice sessions Tongue Big Grin
