The Ferrari F1 Team fired their entire pit crew yesterday.
This announcement followed Ferrari's decision to take advantage of the British government's 'Work for your Dole' scheme and employ some Liverpudlian youngsters. The decision to hire them was brought about by a recent documentary on how unemployed youths from Toxteth were able to remove a set of wheels in less than 6 seconds without proper equipment, whereas Ferrari's existing crew could only do it in 8 seconds with millions of pounds worth of high tech gear. It was thought to be an excellent, bold move by the Ferrari management team as most races are won and lost in the pits, giving Ferrari an advantage over every other team. However, Ferrari got more than they bargained for! At the crew's first practice session, not only was the scouse pit crew able to change all four wheels in under 6 seconds but, within 12 seconds, they had re-sprayed, re-badged and sold the car to the Mclaren team for 8 cases of Stella, a bag of weed and some photos of Lewis Hamilton's bird in the shower. |

the podium of the last one South Korea GP (Yeongam)
2010 1 Fernando Alonso Ferrari 2 Lewis Hamilton McLaren-Mercedes 3 Felipe Massa Ferrari fastest lap on race: Fernando Alonso Ferrari This weekend will be held on the second edition of the Grand Prix of Korea. Last year the circuit was approved by the FIA in extremis. Due to the rain, on race day, the start was delayed and it happened behind the safety car. After the engine failure of Sebastian Vettel, Alonso took the lead and won the GP. The track has a very long straight(more than 1 km) that ends with a tight corner and then another shorter straight. The second and the third sector are instead composed of a continuous series of curves and probably will be difficult to overtake, because there is only one line through that sequence of corners, but will need to see a dry race to judge the Korean circuit. In my opinion, the best tracks in Europe are: Spa(number one), Monaco, Silverstone and Monza. Outside of Europe: Suzuka, Interlagos, Montreal and Melbourne. In the last one GP only six drivers posted a time in the final qualifying segment. The same situation happened many times this season In fact several teams decided to limit their running in qualifying on Saturday in order to save sets of tyre that could be very important for the race. Also this weekend there will be the same problem, because this race will be a severe test for supersoft tyres. My suggestion is: more sets of tires to be used only for qualifying. the soft(yellow) and the supersoft(red) tyre will be used as “prime” and “option” respectively: the same combination used for Monaco, Canada, Hungary and Singapore Single DRS zone for the Korean Grand Prix.: halfway down long straight The podium after 15 races: 1° place: Vettel 9 – Button 3 – Hamilton 2 – Alonso 1 2° place; Vettel 4 – Alonso 4 – Button 3 – Hamilton 2 – Webber 2 3° place; Webber 6 – Button 3 – Alonso 3 – Vettel 1 – Heidfeld 1 – Petrov 1 Total podium: Vettel 14 – Button 9 – Webber 8 – Alonso 8 – Hamilton 4 – Heidfeld and Petrov 1 Fastest lap on race: Webber 5 – Hamilton 3 – Button 3 – Massa 2 – Vettel 1 – Alonso 1 |

south corea circuit
![]() The International Circuit of Korea ( Korean International Circuit ) is a 5.621 km circuit located in the province of South Jeolla , over 300 km from the capital Seoul in South Korea , were used for the construction of 264 million U.S. dollars The track layout has been entrusted to the German Hermann Tilke . The completion of the work was scheduled for late 2009 , then slipped to mid-2010. The 10 December 2009 , the organizers said that the circuit would be ready for the 5 June 2010 , while not denying the difficulties in raising finance for the construction and organization of the grand prize. The organizers have also ruled out the possibility that the grand prize will take place at night. In July 2010, KaVo, the promoter of the structure, said that the track will be ready by the end of August 2010. The circuit was inaugurated on 4 September 2010 . On this occasion a few laps on the circuit has also a Formula 1 car, a Red Bull led by Karun Chandhok . The track consists of two parts: a permanent and temporary. The temporary part is placed along the side of the harbor and the spectators from the waterfront, from hotels and from their boats, they can watch the Grand Prix. The capacity of 135,000 seats of the grandstands. The computer simulations carried out before the race of the F1 debut in 2010 estimated at about one minute and forty seconds, the time needed to walk a full lap of the track. The average speed should be 195 km / h and a peak of 315 km / h attained by the end of the long straight between turn two and three. The downforce applied to the cars should be similar to that needed on the track at Suzuka . The Paddock area is used only temporarily, during the GP, while for the rest of the year is expected to use with other possible structures such as shops, restaurants and cafes, but they have not yet been completed. The first race of the Formula 1 season is scheduled for 2010 , on October 24 , the first Grand Prix of Korea . On 26 September 2010 the owner of the Circus Bernie Ecclestone , however, has questioned the possibility that the grand prize is played . The final and decisive, inspection of Charlie Whiting was held on Monday 11 October 2010 , to ascertain whether the works were carried out in order and the circuit was able to host the event. The final decision expected in October 13 , was announced one day in advance, and it was positive. However, there were complaints about the state of the asphalt and the difficulty for teams to reach the circuit. You have changed the entry to the garage considered too dangerous by the pilots, because the difference in speed between those who are taking that point of the circuit and those who enter the pit lane is too high. The judgments of the drivers on the track are still positive . Michael Schumacher claims to be surprised by the track in a positive way, while Robert Kubica calls it "ten times better than that of Abu Dhabi . " The race, on Sunday, was marked by a heavy rain, so that the cars start behind the safety car, before stopping for the red flag. The grand prize is taken, always behind the safety car , after about an hour, with the risk that the darkness of evening leads on the circuit in the final laps. The track conditions made it difficult also because of the short time passed since the writing that comes out asphalt oil for the heavy rain, have not improved much. The safety car still driving the group for 17 laps. Then the race will end with the victory of Fernando Alonso of Ferrari . On Jenson Button wins the Suzuka circuit with McLaren, after taking up very little at the end to the Ferrari from Fernando Alonso.
Sebastian Vettel is 'only' third, but ahead of Japan wins his second consecutive world title. And there are still four races at the end of the season. The world championship standings to 324 points see Vettel, Button, and 202 to 210 Alonso. Mark Webber in fourth place with 194 points and fifth with Lewis Hamilton 178. The constructors' championship, however, is still open. my compliments to sebastian vettel for the second title:thumbup:but hopes next year to see ferrari and alonso wins
