Results Finals :

Women' s Singles : Angelique Kerber (2) won her 10th WTA tournament in career (second Grand Slam title and first US Open), defeating
Karolina Pliskova (10) 6-3, 4-6, 6-4 after 2h 07'

In first set Kerber immediately broke Pliskova in first game and she kept the advantage till 5-3, closing the set with another break after 41'; second set was decided by an only break, made by the Czech player in seventh game and kept till the final 6-4 after 47'; in third set Pliskova was the first to break, in third game, but the German player broke her back in sixth game and then she made the deciding break in 10th game, winning the match and celebrating her first title in New York (second Slam this year after Australian Open last January) and the first place in WTA ranking from tomorrow, while Pliskova will also celebrate her best ranking.
