Re: Caliente TV

I follow them daily on Facebook: they practically transmit ONLY reruns of reruns of old reruns from 13 hours daily and they also say Italian viewers to call their numbers erotic paid otherwise not make new things: it's the usual thing by now, they have been saying for years! Confused

Re: Caliente TV

The challenge is that it's almost impossible to work out what is new and what isn't, and there's no schedule to refer to in terms of who is on or indeed when.
I have a month or more recorded now, but not sure when (or if) I will find the time to work through them. We're wanting or expecting true live shows, not constant repeats.

Things they could or should try to do include:-
1. promote the channel better in terms of the website, it might get more attention
2. create a schedule we can refer to
3. re-enable the web stream and ideally move away from silverlight as it's not really cross platform
4. improve the video quality as it's pretty crap as they only have 600kbps (for combined video and audio) which even with h264/aac streams just isn't enough for the resolution and on-screen action. I'm guessing they are sub-renting only part of a transponder and hence that's all the bandwidth they have to play with
5. provide details of the girls they now have, with bio and pictures etc

I think you are right, if the channels are in mpeg4, this is not supported by my old bigsat, from long time in stand-by...at this point i hope for a internet stream.

Re: Caliente TV

Accepting the shows are not live shows yet, here's yesterdays output.
Valeria show is same as Tuesday, but this time it is complete as the one I previously posted was only a partial show.

As and when they sort out the live shows, they do need to ensure video matches what is the transponder, as they (and in common with many of the h264 encoded channels on Hotbird) have lots of small bit errors in their video and audio streams. A few hundred an hour, which mostly go unnoticed but can mean a very brief blocky-mess on screen.
If they get this right, it should hopefully improve picture quality considerably. Certainly they need to do something as at present it's not good by anyones measure of quality Smile

Re: Caliente TV

Yes, for now they are recorded: they said that they are still being set up to accommodate the signal quality!

Re: Caliente TV

I wonder if any of these shows are live? Last night's show featuring Valera was definitely a recorded one, as it was the same show as on tuesday.

Re: Caliente TV

OK, so the channel is up and running, and there seems to be two sections of live shows per day.

I've not managed to record absolutely everything as it wasn't clear on the schedule to start with. But here are what I've got so far.
Note these are just direct edits of the recording. Meaning they're still MBAFF interlaced etc.

But given the quality of the stream, any encode is going to ruin things, so I felt it best to edit as raw and leave your video player to do the necessary for any deinterlace via a filter.
