ETV's future

In the past few weeks I read in the forum all the information abbot the American market but didn't have the time to look into this myself until now when I took a look on the web site of Trans global entertainment and the way I see it good old ETV is dead and will not return unless a new station will appear. In the past we used to criticize the staff of ETV (molvania) that they don't know what they are doing etc,,, but its not rue I think they now exactly what they are doing they are very sophisticated and working on a well defined business plan,  They must have heavy investors and they are executing the plan with a lot of patience. At the moment this is an interim stage but I am sure that in time they will change everything including the old models. We will not recognize it anymore. You can compare this to a child that in the beginning he/she is doing a lot of crazy things without any boundaries but slowly is becoming mature and is working accoring to the rules. As any business plan it may fail but I am not sure it will , at the moment they need the calls and SMS from Europe to keep the show going , doesn't it look useless to air this boring shows ?? but they need the time and they know that they can't stop because if you are not there you don't exist ... they are planing to air from a new satellite (G19 Intelsat) maybe they already do but they are thinking big for those of you who haven't seen the video on their site I suggest you watch it [hidden link - please register]

@ counterstrike

Actually, you bore me now.

You have already been warned about your posting style which attacks members and not comments about the channels.

You have even spent some time in my jailhouse for such postings.

Continue to do this and you will find yourself back there. And it may be a very long time before you are let out.

I had the same thoughts, and of course 1st of may is a particular day in molvanian zone countries, but there's a strange smell in what they are cooking these days.

@counterstrike

Read the news about Mexico-City at the moment. There's a risk of a pandemic disease.

Re: ETV's future

Did someone really listen to the vid? If I heard it right, localy produced content from all over the world can be linked into the main stream @any time. So it is possible to have a very soft main stream suiting every legal limitation around the globe 24/7 and to produce warmer content respecting the legal limitations of the specific market in that region and link it into the apropriat stream @the right times. This would also help solving that little linguistic problem that some markets provide.

But I'm speculating....

Re: ETV's future

Guys.....I did some research into this monolith forming around Eurotic TV. The future for what we see today is to be more generic, homogenized and less erotic. Only titlation, soft shows. The aim is to sacrifice the hot shows that were known in the past to expand the footprint of Eurotic TV in America. Hotels will offer this program in addition to offering dating, hookup and booty call technology. All this for the traveler in America. So the soft shows are here to stay. American's will note it for awhile, but in time...that will fade. Right now, the entire Hotel industry is struggling to endure the economic down turn. This will be an expensive revenue stream for the industry. As a traveling sales person who does stay at these hotels...it doesn't interest me. I don't want to pay for something I can get for free. The inter-active aspect of the global plan is intriguing. But, you have to realize, to be global, and sexual are two different things. Tastes, cultures, and legal standards are all different. Its going to be so hard to taylor shows to each market. This is going to be like a large do all software application that touts it can do everything....but it can't do everything well. I see a generic boring product is to result from this. A great idea, but here in America? By openning this in the Hotel market is really the only place it will work. But that is limited. The private home market is HUGE. But for a show like this....to be open, sexually stimulating...the only way it will work is to pay for it only on a subscription basis. Thus, that will be a turn off to Americans too. The plan will work, and a sizable market will be found in America, but not everyone wants to pay for it. But, be prepared to pay and pay....nothing for free anymore. Right now, the shows are boring because its being watered down for American "Puritan" rules pertaining to sexual content. Sadly, I agree with others here....another channel has to start-up...smaller, groomed for a local market....not global. Be responsive to the market...it will do well, but will have to remain small. Can it be done? Don't know, we will see.
