@ bulkowski I remember a link from HvB to the austrian tv regulators. There was no word about TV6. The channel was closed down by the tax authorities. But I don't care if I'm right or not. What counts is that ETV tells one lie after the other. :-(( |

Someone has just requested Sugar to p**s on a sheet with his name written (and then to lick it). |

@brokingbull Sorry, but you are wrong. I did not repeat rumours about TV6 but refered only to the decisions of the Austrian regulator in various rulings concerning TV6. |

@ ghost Can't you read? Spain and Portugal are on satellite AND in EU. The only ones who changed the rules are the etv managers. :-(( |

Mauro, I fully agree that the costs of a normal VIP sms are too high relative to the return. Also the price differentiation is discriminatory. A normal sms from Germany costs 2.99 euros and as I noticed in the forum from Italy it is only one euro. Also the price for calling the models differs from country to country. As the prices are shown on the screen, not a smart management dicision to have different prices, which is in addition a clear violation of EU law. In the past, special performances were hardly interrupted. Sometimes the camera was for several minutes on one model. If someone sends a VIP sms, then he wants to see the model during the whole performance for him and not the rest of the crew sitting on chairs or laying on the bed or whatever furniture they have in the studio. Or even worse, on Saturday, they showed the hammer for the panty auction. Nobody is going to pay for watching the hammer on the table. They wonder that there is less activity during happy hours. The lesson that management, directors and moderators have to learn is: Make your customers happy and they return again and again. Pricing and the offered service are essential parts for customer happyness. And with customers I mean those who pay, not the free riders. |

If Austria adjusted the law becaue of EU issues, why didn't Spain and Portugal have to? These countries still air uncut FTA hardcore stuff after midnight on local tv stations (also on satellite via Hispasat). |

@ bulkowski You just repeated many rumours about tv6. In first case they had to close because they didn't pay taxes correctly. Therefore Peter (the owner) was in jail . And maybe is still there. And secondly Peter cheated the viewers with his game shows. Nobody who wons a price never saw money. And last one: Austria is well known to be a place where you can hide your money from tax authorities. Strange people for me anyway. Don't forget Adolf Hitler or Jörg Haider. Like Switzerland Austria takes all the money they can get. |

Thanks for your informative & detailed post bulkowski. There's one more thing I wanna add: the value for money is absolutely unfair. That's my biggest problem with the channel. 9 EUR for a censored strip with 1000 silly transitions (not the girls' fault but fault from the amateur direction) is an unbounded cheek. But most viewers unfortunately even don't think about the 9 or 18 or even more EUR they invest for crap. They already got used to it. |

@HvB and ghostwriter2008 I searched the web-site of the Austrian regulator, which HvB provided in one of his postings. I did read the text of the Austrian law as well as the rulings concerning TV6. It was not a violation of the Austrian law to transmit porn free to air. TV6 was fined that this station broadcasted content, which was not suitable for minors outside of the allowed time window and that there was no warning before or during the program was on air. ETV is fullfiling this legal requirement. Before the night show starts, there is always a warning in two languages that the following transmission is for adults. However, the Austrian law was not compliant with EU regulations. Pornographic content has to scrambled and must not be broadcasted free to air. After TV6 broadcasted porn free to air, the German government intervened and Austria had to insert a third section requiring that porn must be scrambled. This section also provides a legal definition of porn. WIth respect to what the Austrian regulator regarded as adult oriented but not pornographic content in past rulings, ETV could show more than they actually do. On the web-site of the Austrain regulator I could not find any complaint against ETV. The censorship of ETV appears to be more self-imposed or based on commercial considerations, probably both. I remember one contribution in the old forum from a former model, which reported that activity of the the viewers during the hot shows in the past declined and ETV suffered considerable losses of revenues. Also free to air erotic shows are not free in the sense of production costs. If revenues decline while the show is hot, one does not have to have an MBA to decide making the shows tame. A boycott would not bring back the good times. ETV would have to see that the viewers reward hot shows with more activity and higher revenues. But as long as hot shows are regarded as free lunch, nothing's gone change. |

As HvB already mentioned there was a request to boycott ETV. But unfortunately it's useless. Too many viewers don't know this site, and many others are too addicted so no chance to pull them away from the channel. But good suggestions are always welcome. It's just a pity that the most discussed channel is almost as tame (and sometimes even tamer) than the UK shows. |

The Laws aren´t tougher in Austria, Do you remember TV6? They were from Austria and i don´t know if you knew it but they did send in the past real hardcore as a free channel. The laws there lower as in Germany. They highest rating is 16 and not 18 as here in Germany. And they mostly get the uncut versions of the Horrormovies. In Germany mostly you have cut versions as a adult. But with nudity the germans don´t have more problems. In a sportschannel as DSF you can see after midnight more explicit scenes as in Eurotiv TV. Who understand it? I don´t do. Markus |

You may boycott it or not. It won't change. You will reach far to few of eUrotics customers to make them feel a financial impact. As long as the money is rolling in, they don't feel the need to change. As you could see from the first topic, it have not only been the members in this forum boycotting them, but the result was zero. @ghostwriter2008: It's been there for years, but obviously you're just the second one actually reading it ;-) And the Austrian laws are still the same as in late 2006/early 2007. |

So shall I forget trying to start a boycott and just leave Eurotic to carry on with the same censored rubbish that they play day in day out year after year? I know that here in the UK, where I am, the adult channels are allowed to get away with more than Eurotic tv. To be honest I think it just a real, real shame. The channel clearly is the most talked about channel, but everyone feels the same - Just saying that it has potential, but really annoying everyone. Thanks for everyone's replys, it is much appreciated. One more thing, I have emailed Eurotic a coupel of times to ask why it is so censored and not once have they had the courtesy to reply. |
