An explosion at a coal mine in western Turkey has left at least 205 workers dead and scores injured, officials say.
Energy Minister Taner Yildiz said 787 people had been inside the mine at Soma in Manisa province when an electrical fault triggered the blast.
Rescuers worked through the night, but Mr Yildiz said hopes were fading of finding any more survivors.
Worried relatives have gathered near the privately owned mine, about 450 km (280 miles) west of the capital Ankara.

Hey daz, the history has a long tradition and goes back to the [holy?] bible. In the dark middle ages the govern class
[Earls; Lords, Knights and all the rest of the pack]was concerning to this book to legitimate its exploitation of the farmers.
Later, during the industrial revolution, the employers were referring to this [damned] book again and worked in the same way liked their ascendants.
On Sunday we go to church and pray and all is okay.
Carl Marx created a nice saying, concerning about "What is religion? Opium for the people!" It explains a lot doesn't it ?

Renowned Venezuelan expert on leprosy Jacinto Convit dies.

Venezuelan doctor and scientist Jacinto Convit, renowned for his development of a leprosy vaccine and a lifetime spent helping the poor, died on Monday at the age of 100.
Born in 1913 of a Spanish immigrant family and educated at a university in Caracas, Convit was moved by the stigmatization of leprosy patients and worked with them in the marginalized outskirts of the city as well as remote jungle areas.
"Dr. Convit became a popular hero in Venezuela due to his dedication to the poor and to patients with feared conditions," said an announcement of his death on his website.
