jody scheckter
Jody David Scheckter (born January 29, 1950) is a South African former auto racing driver, the 1979 Formula One World Drivers Champion. He rapidly ascended to the ranks of Formula One after moving to Britain in 1970. His Formula 1 debut occurred at Watkins Glen in 1972 with McLaren where he ran as high as third place before spinning and finishing ninth. Immediately becoming a name to watch, he continued his development the following year, winning the Formula 5000 championship and racing five times in F1. In France, he almost won in his third start in F1 before crashing into Emerson Fittipaldi, the reigning World Champion, who said after the crash about Scheckter: "This madman is a menace to himself and everybody else and does not belong in Formula 1." In his next start, the British Grand Prix at Silverstone, Scheckter was involved in a big accident which took nearly a dozen cars out of the race. The Grand Prix Drivers Association demanded his immediate banishment, which was only put off when McLaren agreed to rest their driver for four races. [2] Scheckter's McLaren M23 bore the number zero during the Canadian and American Grands Prix of 1973. Scheckter is one of only two F1 drivers to compete under this number, the other being Damon Hill. Tyrrell in 1974 gave him his first full-time drive in F1. Jody rewarded them with a third-place finish in the drivers' championship and a pair of wins in Sweden and Britain. During the year, he scored points in eight consecutive races, one of the longer scoring streaks of the time. A slight off-year followed, although he did become the only South African to win the South African Grand Prix, but his third year with the team in 1976 gave him another third place finish in the drivers' championship. In that season, Tyrrell introduced the most radical car in F1 history, the six-wheeled Tyrrell P34. Scheckter gave the six-wheeler its only win on Sweden's Anderstorp circuit and in his twelve races with the car, he scored points ten times. This included a thrilling race-long battle for the lead in the American Grand Prix between himself and his great friend James Hunt. Scheckter left for Walter Wolf's new team in 1977 and Scheckter gave the team a win in its maiden race. He won twice more with the team and was often on the podium, but finished second on points behind a more dominant Niki Lauda. A seventh-place finish with the team in 1978 followed and he left the team after the season to join Ferrari to partner Gilles Villeneuve in the team's ground effect 312T4 car. Critics felt he would not get along well with management at Ferrari, but he far surpassed expectations and helped give F1's most recognizable team another constructors' championship, while Scheckter's consistent finishes, with three wins among them, gave him the drivers' championship in 1979.[2] However, he struggled very badly in his 1980 title defence, even failing to qualify for one race. After managing only two points, Scheckter retired from the team and the sport. Scheckter was the last driver to win a drivers' championship for Ferrari until Michael Schumacher 21 years later. In 1981, Scheckter won the World Superstars competition in Key Biscayne, Florida. He defeated athletes such as Russ Francis, Renaldo Nehemiah, Peter Mueller, Rick Barry, Gaetan Boucher and Andy Ripley.In 1983 he was inducted into the International Jewish Sports Hall of Fame. After Scheckter's retirement, he founded FATS Inc, a company which built firearms training simulators for military, law enforcement and security organizations. The sale of the company provided funds to allow Scheckter to help the racing careers of his sons Tomas and Toby. Tomas races in the Indy Racing League where he has won two races. Scheckter's brother, Ian, also raced in F1 for a few years. In 2004 Scheckter was reunited with his championship-winning Ferrari at the South African two-seater F1x2 Charity Grand Prix at Kyalami in South Africa. Scheckter was a guest commentator for ITV during the 1999 San Marino Grand Prix, replacing Martin Brundle. Scheckter now spends his time as an organic farmer, having bought Laverstoke Park Farm, near Overton, Hampshire, 40 miles (64 km) west of London. As an organic farming expert, Scheckter was featured in 2005 on the Visionhealth DVD and TV documentaries "Asthma: An Integrated Approach", "Arthritis: An Integrated Approach" and "Diabetes: An Integrated Approach". On February 26, 2008, he also appeared on the Horizon television show to make a case for organic food. In December 2009, Scheckter announced his intention to produce a biodynamic sparkling wine by 2012.  This time, an Italian one that could give plenty of ideas to the designers at Ferrari. The another design by John Mark Vicente: the Ferrari Imola, after the sublime Bugatti Renaissance concept. The enormous rims and semi-slick tires underline the aggressiveness of the vehicle. This supercar is ready to take on the road monsters like Ariel Atom, Caparo T1, KTM X-Bow and especially the Lotus Elise. According to the author, his Ferrari concept car is inspired by the Ferrari F70 created by Randy Rodriguez and the Dino Competizione by Sacha Selipanov. Imola is a spider without windscreen and has a future hybrid Ferrari V6 engine. The designer used triangular and trapezoidal shapes to create the head and tail lights and the grille.  Philip Toll Hill Jr. ( Miami , April 20 1927 - Salinas , 28 August 2008 ) was a racing driver U.S. , winner of three Grand Prix and World Champion of Formula 1 in 1961 with the Scuderia Ferrari . Phil Hill began his career in the racing world by moving to England to be used by Jaguar as a test pilot and hilling. In 1954 he began conquering light, on board a Ferrari 375 MM Vignale the 2 nd place overall in the Carrera Panamericana , one of the three most prestigious races of the time in the world. This performance earned him the attention of Enzo Ferrari, who put him under contract for participation in the 24 Hours of Le Mans and the Carrera Panamericana. The 1955 , unfortunately, will prove annus horribilis of motoring with the murder of Le Mans in which 90 people perished, the most serious accident in history. Following the event, the Mexican government decided to cancel the " Carrera ". In 1958 , his fourth participation, Hill won the 24 Hours of Le Mans, driving a Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa and, later, he debuted in F1 races with the Maserati in the French Grand Prix , finishing the race in seventh place. Enzo Ferrari , considering the performance of open-wheel cars with Hill, put it in for the F1 team, but the first race did not go well, not only for him but also for the whole team. In fact, Peter Collins lost his life, will be the third year after Pat O'Connor and Luigi Musso . Hill, meanwhile, after missing the Grand Prix of Portugal back to the fore at Monza winning third place of great value, in addition to the fastest lap. It then hired on a permanent basis and reward Ferrari with another third place in the tragic race in Morocco in which he loses his life Stuart Lewis-Evans . Hill is also confirmed in 1959 which will further improve its performance taking two second places and another fastest lap. The American will be Ferrari also in 1960 , and the Monza Grand Prix gets his first victory in 1961 , when he won the world title and won two Grand Prix. In the same year, however, Phil has to suffer the death of his friend and comrade Wolfgang von Trips . In 1962 Ferrari confirmation is obvious, but does not go beyond three podium finishes, but never win. The ' following year Hill Air changes, according to Carlo Chiti , and goes running for the Italian ATS , also competing in some races in the Lotus , but gets no points. For the 1964 accords with Cooper , but not beyond a sixth place in Great Britain . After a failed attempt to qualify for the 1966 Italian Grand Prix with an Eagle decided to end his career leaving F1. He died 28 August 2008 in the hospital in Salinas , where he was hospitalized for some time, is still buried in the cemetery of Woodlawn , in Santa Monica , California . Diary of a Formal 1 Race : 24-28 / 08 / 2011 Spa- Francorchamps : author : Shaky
Day 4 Saturday 27/08 Today is the day that the places of the drivrs matter for the big day on sunday . Today i'm waking up at 06.00u and doing the normal morning stuff . At 07.00u i leaveto thecircuit and at 07.30u i arrive ,today the parkings are more full than yesterday ! The normal check of the tickets at the gate and than it is up towards the Pouchon curve/turn . Today i sit at the second row instead of the first row because there where people faster than me ( dammed i really getting old  ) ,but it's still a good place because i have the same view as yesterday ! Now it's waiting until 09.45u because than it will be the 3rd practice session of the Gp3 ,there session was driven in sunny weather condition .there session ended at 10.15u .It was waiting untill 11.00u than it's time for the Big Boys of F1 to come out again and do there 3rd and final practice session . I saw on my right side dark clowds hanging ,this means that the rain was coming this way ,just 5 minutes before they came out it started to rain ,this also mean that i had to put my rain coat and rain trousers on again .Everybody was thinking what will they do ? ...Thank god they all came out on the track ,but some did just a installation lap ,some did just one complete lap and others ( like Alonso) saved there tyres for this afternoon . The complete session was in rain ..there was even heavy rain on the place where i was sitting ,in this session there where 2 cars who came off the track and again this happend in front of me so thank you DiResta and Glock ( again ) For the rest there was not happening too mutch ..thanks to this f**king wheather condition ,so the session was a bit boring ! Now at 12.30u it was time for the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup ,they had more luck during there qualifying because the rain had stopped and the circuit became dry .At 13.00u it was a short break so time for eating my sandwishes with bacon and eggs that i made and having a cold ice tea green with citron ..mmmm taste sweet . The rain started again at around 13.30u and ofcourse it continued when the f1 had to do there qualification ,the wheather changed frequently ,so as soon the lights turned green they all came out . Than i saw something i could not believe it was happening ...Schumi crashed !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! , this was pure unbelieve for me ,not today not at this special weekend for him and his fans ..but it happend so qualifying over and out for Schumi  ( ofcourse at first i did not know what caused this crash ) ,the qualification went on ofcourse ,in this 1st part i/we see the usual drivers falling out at this session ,it was nice to see my countryman D'Ambrosio on the 20th place . Until the 2nd session was red flagged because of the crash that Adrian Sutil had .With ?? minutes to go the 2nd part of the qualification surpriced me and a lot of Jenson Button fans that he was allready out in this part ,that he did not make it for the last part to be in the top 10 . 1 more pat to go ..and this part was the most important one because this is the one for pole position ..the minutes where faiding away and i was nervous because i saw Alonso on a not so good place ..with seconds to go i saw Hamilton making nothing els than driving green times on the board ,with Alonso times i saw nothing els than only orange times ,this was not good ,thank god that i was still cheering for Felipe Massa because he drove very well  , than i saw Hamilton going over the finish line and he was at 1st place ,the Hamilton fans went crazy and where cheering a lot ,but there was still one driver going very fast and that was Sebastian Vettel ,and what happend ..indeed Vettel came over the line with a better time than Hamilton ,so Vettel was on pole ..you had to see the faces of the Hamilton fans they could not believe that Seb did it again ,for me the joy was allready over after i saw the times of Alonso and Massa ..but i was happy that Felipe was infront (4 th place ) of Alonso ( 8th place ) . After this qualification it was the Gp2 who had to there 1st race ,they had a dry session until 16.00u than it began to rain and at 16.45u there race was done .Than at 17.20u it was also the 1st race of the Gp3 ,but when they started i was leaving the circuit because for this race class i was not interested  ,so again climbing up the hill ,again halfway the climb i was tired ..but it went a bit better than the day before . As soon when i came at the house i took a shower and turned on the tv on pushed on the teletext button to see what caused this crash of Schumi ...he lost his tyre because they forgot to tighten it ? ..i was soo furious i could still not believe it ..and than reading this .. ..but ofcourse i kept my faith in it that i wil lsee a very good race of " Der Meister " at his favorit circuit . After having reading the news of F1 it was time for making dinner and after that it was time for writing the dairy and after that it was time for some tv and a dvd ,this time it was the movie " Michel Vaillant " followed by another dvd namely the classic " Le Mans " with Steve McQueen with having some drinks and some snacks it was again a pleasant day ...alldo that the outcome of the quali was not the one that i expected ! so now going to bed and sleep for a couple of hours because it will be day soon .Kind Regards Shaky-Schumi |

Day 3 Friday 26/08 Getting out of bed at 06.45u , shower,tea,making a little breakfast for taking with me for the midday on the circuit ( safe some money with this ! ) and than at 07.30u leaving the house direction circuit . It's today a bit more rush on the road so i arrived at 08.00u , i had to take another road to the parking but it was still close the the circuit ,it was actualy even better it was at " Les Combes " ,it was a walk of 10 minutesuntil i was at the gate ,i had to show my ticket so that the security could scan it in . Than it was a downhill walk from "Les Combes " to my favorit place " Pouchon " ( or like the drivers will say turn/curve 10-11 ) , and believe me guys/girls it is ( i don't know the exact english word so i try to say it in % ) about 15 a 18 % ,it's almost if you fall on your face if you run downhill and you can't break with your feet .At " Pouchon" i was looking around where i could sit down , i found the perfect spot ,it was in the middle of the curve/turn . I could see them coming in the curve and going out the curve until they where at turn/curve 12 " Fagnes " ,so i can see them a long time and what also was important is to have a big screen infront of you so that you can follow it complete ! It was now 08.40u when i was complete installad ,just 5 minutes more and than it will be the GP3 who kicks of the start of the day and he complete race weekend . They did there 1st practice session from 08.45u - 09.15u .After a break of 45 minutes it was the time that the F1 cars came outside to do there 1st practice session ..yiiiiihaaaaa ..the crowd went crazy when i/they saw the 1st car came surpassed....but than after 10 minutes ....the wellknown Francorchamps wheather came up ,yep it started to rain ,so we fans so the cars only 10 minutes on the track . In these 10 minutes dry time there was 1 driver who had set the the best time of this 1st practice session ...and that was nobody els than 7 times World Champion Formula 1 Micheal Schumacher .....a Big smile was on my face ....i could almost not control myself to jump up and cheer outloud ..but ofcourse it could be that after some time the circuit became dry again when it stopped with raining ,Schumi was followed by his Team mate Nico Rosberg who had set the 2nd time . After some time the rain stopt and the drivers waited a bit before they came out again , ofcourse it was still a damp track and that costed 2 drivers there time because it was Bruno Senna who had replaced Nick Heidfeld at Lotus Renault and also it was over and out for Paul DiResta ,both cars ended up in the barriers ,both did it at tesame place . The session was red flagged for the car of DiResta ,they also stopped the time .With just 12 minutes to go in this session everybody was waiting in there pitbox ! After the car was pulled from the track the time started to run again ,it was code green again ! .There was action on the circuit but nobody could beat the time of Schumi ( yeeeeeeeaaaaaaah baby ) After the session was ended ( the checkerd flag was shown ,so the time was over for this 1st practice session ) the drivers where allowed to do a start at the starting grid ( like they do it at Monaco ) , if you would have sit at the starting grid than this sound would have bin   ( i had this in 2006 when they did a 3 day test session at Francorchamps ,it was just sooooo ..ah ..my skin was ..it was just incredible to have witnessed that experience). Now it was waiting until 11.55u because than the drivers of the Gp2 had to do there 1 and only practice session ,they did this till 12.25u . At 12.45u it was back to bussiness for the drivers of the Gp3 for there 2nd practice session this was till 13.10u . In the time that the Gp2 and Gp3 did there sessions i walked to ster gate .. this is where the Merchandise of the Teams where..and also some food and drinking stands . Ofcourse me as a Ferrari fan and Schumi fan i had my eyes on there stuff ,as i sayd yesterday i controlled myself until i would go the mechandise standings at the circuit ,and now it was the time to let myself go , i was buying , buying ,buying and buying Ferrari T-shirts, Ferrari shirts, Ferrari caps , Schumi special birthday cap, Schumi special birthday shirt, special T-shirt ,special cap ,Schumi MercedesGP t-shirt ,Schumi MercedesGP shirt one in black and one in white ,Schumi Deutsche Vermögensberatung cap . I also stopt at the the stand of Team Lotus and could not resist to buy a Team shirt because of there legendary race history ,i also stopt for buying a Team shirt of Marussia Virgin Racing the Team of my country man Jerome D'Ambrosio . After all this buying it was time again to go back to my place at " Pouchon " for the 2nd practice session of the F1 . At the start of the session it stayd dry until 14.55u ,than the rain came down again and everyone went back to there boxes and we fans where putting on our rain coat and opend our umbrella , the worst of this sesion was that the rain did not stop, but there where some drivers who dared to came out in these wheater situation . The 1st who came out was Virgin's Timo Glock , he drove well in the rain until he came for the 2nd time in " Pouchon " ,right infront of me he went off the track ,me and the rest of the people where happy that this happend infront of us ( ofcourse whitout having a accident ,otherwise we would not have bin laughin ) and we also gave a applause for this . For the rest it was anormal drive in the rain with no further highlight . At 15.40u- 16.45u it was again the drivers of the Gp2 who had to come out ,but now it was for there qulification ,allready people left the circuit because they where not interested in these Gp2 class . At the end it was just one more classthat had to come out and do there thing and that was the Porsche Supercup ,they did there practice session from 16.50u-17.35u . Halfway the session i found it also enough for today so i went back to my car ...i had to do again the climb up ..and believe me my heartbeat was going faster and i was getting tired when i was halfway ..i don't have the fitness anymore that i used to have when i was jonger ,but ofcourse i did it slowly and i made it and now it was just checking out my ticket at the security . I was first of all happy that i was at my car and second i was happy that i could go to the house so that i could take a hot shower and that i could sit in a warm house .! so this was the 1st day that i saw the Formula 1 in action even when it was in rainy conditions is was just pleasant/lovely experience to have seem than " live " That was day 3 ! Alberto Ascari , said Ciccio , ( Milan , 13 July 1918 - Monza , 26 May 1955 ), was a racing driver Italian . With the Ascari Ferrari 500 F2 tests of the Italian Grand Prix at Monza in 1953 Stamp issued in 2005 that commemorates the fiftieth anniversary of the death He won two world titles in his career in Formula 1 , competing in 32 races, of which 13 won, with 17 podiums in total, and 14 pole positions, with 25 departures in the first row in total. It was the only rider in the world able to compete seriously with Juan Manuel Fangio . Son of Antonio Ascari , who was also racing driver of the 20s, initially became interested in motorcycle racing. [1] Only in 1940, with the participation of the thousand miles to the edge of a Ferrari became interested in car racing With the outbreak of the Second World War , however, was forced to interrupt their careers. After the war he returned to run then, by signing a contract with Maserati , which had as a teammate and mentor Luigi Villoresi In 1948, then got his first victory at the Grand Prix of San Remo , followed by several other successes. In 1955 Ascari confesses to his friend Gigi Villoresi very afraid of that year, in which he reaches 37 years, the same age when his father lost his life in 1925. On May 26 he went to Monza , where you are in a practice session of his friend Eugene Castellotti , then at the wheel of Ferrari . At the end of the test asks him to let him test the car. On the third lap he crashed into a curve and dies instantly. The incident was never rebuilt, since no one witnessed the crash. In response to numerous requests for F40 prepared for racing, were also constructed 19 samples of F40 LM ( Le Mans ) from 1988 to 1994 , models, suitably modified for racing on the track specifically requested by the President of France Daniel Marin Ferrari Enzo Ferrari person and made workshop Michelotto (Ferrari preparer) to compete in the Championship IMSA GTO, in which the car made its debut in 1989 at Laguna Seca driving with Jean Alesi , second game ended the race in third place. The following season, the Ferrari one or two sided France F40 LM in some tests of the season winning a total of 4 stages, however, missing the win, after France gave up the Ferrari racing program, despite Michelotto had built 19 frames only 3 of them were really used by the French team. However, the F40 LM's sporting career was not ended, it was used in the Championship BPR Global GT Series from 1994 to 1996. Compared to the basic model, the F40 LM showed increased turbochargers and intercooler, a new electronic engine management (signed F120B), the compression ratio increased to 8,0:1 and the boost pressure increased to 2.6 bar: All these changes brought about the maximum power available in 720 HP race while being tested could exceed 900 hp, this for the cars that competed nell'IMSA GTO 1989 to 1990, while the BPR Global GT Championship deployed in Series were limited in power to 660 hp maximum Regulation Normally it weighed about 1050 kg, although some specimens fell below the threshold of one tonne The speed performance was impressive: the peak was close to 370 km / h and acceleration from 0 to 100 km / h needed about 3 seconds It is also known as F40 Competizione . Day 2 Thursday 25 / 08 After a good night sleep ( no sound of cars passing by ,no sounds of people talking or doing stuff ,it's like beîng on a deserted island ) but sadly a night without having whatched Gia ,it's the start of day 2 of trhe F1 weekend . Today thursday it's the day that all the people who have tickets for the complete weekend to take a walk in the pitlane ,yes you hear it right only the with ticekts for the complete weekend ,so no day tickets ! At the moment it's cloudy but the tempature is good ( 19°C - 20 °C ) ,so like i sayd it is very quiet/peacefull here so i take this opertunity to write this down with a cup of coffee and some fresh warm croisants next to me . At 14.00u I'm making myself ready for going to the circuit for the pitwalk ,the nervs are getting higher when i'm arriving at the gate at 15.00u ,the gate will be open at 16.00u so 1 hour to wait ..but i don't mind . The people with weekend tickets are coming slighty bit by bit until i can't see anymore above the head ,there are a lot of people !Finally 16.00u the gates are opening ,it's getting slowly forward and the reason for this is that the security people have to check the tickets for seeing if these are the original tickets ( there are always people who try everything to witness a F1 ) and also it's to check if these tickets are for the complete weekend ,if not than you will be send back from where you came ,it's only a pitwalk with complete weekend tickets , you will not be allowed to enter with just one ticket !!! I and everyone els entert the circuit at " La Source " from here you can see allready the pitboxes . The 1st Team that we all look at and standing infront of is the one of my fellow countryman Jerome D'Ambrosio namely Marussia Virgin Racing ,allready at this 1st box it was allready pushing to see something ,but the patient guy i am i waited until a lot of them went further ,and thank god that i waited because Jerome came outside for giving autographs ,i did not asked one but i had something better ,i talked with him for 10 minutes and i also had the change to be with him together on photo , so Shaky and Jerome together on one photo ,after this i wished my countryman and his Team good luck for the weekend . Than the next box was the the one of HRT ,the person that i saw from upclose was Teammanager Collin Kolles,he was talking with his crew and after a short time he went back inside ,but when he did this he had a bad fall on the ground and the people laughed outloud ( there where even people shouting " thank you Collin for this fall you give us something to laughand talk about ) , i could laugh with it because i saw that it hurted mutch ,he stand up and walked away ....these people who laughed with it should be ashamed but i guess it's the first and normal reaction to do ! Than it was up to the next box ,the next box,the next box until i came to a stop at the pitbox of Team Lotus here i stayd some time because the Team where doing pitstop practice , it was a pleasure to see it from upclose ( last year it was RedBull that i saw doing this ) and also i was standing close next to Teamprincipal Mike Gascoyne ,he was speaking with one of the engineers ,after they stopped talking i wished him and his Team good luck for the weekend , he answert me that that was friendly and polite from me even when i was a Ferrari fan  , after the Team stopped with the pitstops i went further to the next boxes until i came to a hold at the box of MercedesGP , here where a lot of people standing still to see a glimb of Michael Schumacher and Nico Rosberg , but it seemed that they did not come out ,so after some time the people went further , only i and some otrhers stayd at the box ..and yes after a long time Nico Rosberg came out of the box ,he signed caps ,photos ,the people where making photos of Rosberg and after a couple minutes he went back inside .But where was Schumi ?..... i kept on waiting but no sign of him in the box , i went further and so did some other people ,but when we did this we hear people shouting " Schumiiiiiii " i rust back ofcourse to the box but this time i was not on the front row ..i was only at the 4 row or something , people where making photos ,giving photos ,caps to Schumi to sign it ,i could only make a photo from above people heads , but after all it was a rather good photo not the best and not from upfront but i have one of my favorit driver ! After some minutes the 7th Time World Champion Formula 1 went back inside his box and dissapeart behind the mechanics . Than i went further to the Ferrrari box ,this was a complete dissater for me because sooo many people where standing still ,it was completely impossible to see anything ,to mutch people at ones because Fernando Alonso and Felipe Massa where outside giving autographs and posing for photos ,so i went to the pitwall of Ferrari and looked at one of the pitwall member to see what he was doing ,as i was the only one who was interested in this ,he came to me and i started to talk about this Gp and the Team and about the F1 in general ,ofcourse time fly when you having a good time , so after a long time he had to say goodby because he also had to do some things at the pitbox , so i also sayd goodby to him and wished my favorit Team good luck , he wished me a good time and hoped that the Team could give me and the other Ferrari fans a good result ,hopefully with a victory ( this person was a Italian and i always like it when they speak english , these accent of them is ) . Than the moderator of the circuit shouted through the microphone that Mark Webber will soon come out of the box and that shortly after him Sebastian Vettel will follow also , the crowd stormed towards the box of Red Bull if it was a storm who came after them , ofcourse Alonso and Massa where allready away . I stayd at the box Ferrari so that i could take some photos ,there where a lot of crew members working on both cars ,so i stayd and watched them while other people where at the Red Bull box , i also took some photos of the Ferrari pitwall looking at all the pc screens with the dates of the track tempature,air tempature,huminidy, this info was for the next 3 hours ! The people who did not came out where the ones of Vodafone McLaren Mercedes ,namely Lewis Hamilton and Jeson Button ! So that was a big dumper for the fans of these drivers .At 18.30u the moerator announced that the pitwalk came to a end ,so everybody was request to leave the pitboxes . After a walk back from out the pitbox it was now time for Merchandise shopping ..in the street who's just infront of the circuit there where some standings with a lot of different Team items of Red Bull , Ferrari , McLaren,MercedesGP, Michael Schumacher, etc ,also from F1 teams that did not excist anymore like Super Aguri, Jordan ,Jaguar ,etc. At the moment i had muself under controll ,knowing me if i see things or new things i have to have it at that time i don't care that mutch what it costs , i just want it ! But i wait until friday when i'm at the circuit ,here you have Merchandise from every Team ! After 1 hour and 45 minutes walking through these Merchandise standings it was time to get back to the house ( it was also getting dark ) . Shower ,eating,writing the dairy and than relaxing in front of the tv with today the dvd " Grand Prix " a real classic !!!!! After the movie was done i got to bed ....again a day without having seen Gia , but with a happy feeling with what i have seen today ! Kind Regards Shaky-Schumi |

Diary of a Formal 1 Race : 24-28 / 08 / 2011 Spa- Francorchamps : author : Shaky
Day 1 Wednesday 24/08 Waking up at my home at 07.30 , shower ,breakfast ,starting up pc ,reading my emails , taking a look at the forum and posting a short post at Gia's Topic . Also taking a look at different F1 sites for the latest news and also taking a look at the latest wheater forecast ... a lot of rain is expected during the weekend ! At 09.00u i start to load my suit-case ( valises ) with clothing and the other usual stuff that you normaly take on a vacation ( also ofcourse a lot of different Ferrari shirts that i took with me ) ,also some stuff for making food ,some drinks and some stuff to make dessert ,because around Spa- Francorchamps and especialy around the circuit everything is a bit more expensive on these days with the F1 weekend coming up ! Than at 10.00u i drive with my car to a car-wash ( no not the one of Etv ) for a quick clean of my car ,it took about 30 minutes an than i finaly was on my way direction Spa-Francorchamps . Halfway i came to a hold because there's some road working ahead , it seems like hours before i can push back on my gaspedal and drive again ,but actualy it's only 35 minutes before i can push the metal to the pedal . I'm gettting closer and closer to the circuit and my hearts beats a faster now . Than at 12.30u i'm entering Francorchamps village ,if i take a look at my right side left side i can see allready that this village is breathing Formula 1 all the way , i see people coming from different country's when i see the licence plate of there parket cars ,like there are people from Netherland ,Germany ,France ,Poland, Austria, Great Brittain,Belgium, Italy ,Sweden,Denmark,Spain. I put my car at a gas station ( Shell ) just next to the circuit and i'm going to take a look at the gates . I can see that there are people still working hard to get everything in order for the Gp weekend . After a short walk from around different gates i go back to my car ..what funny was when i seeing my car standing at the Shell station was that there where some Formula1 fans taking photos of my car because it has a nice shiny look ( red car ) with a sticker on my window with on the left corner the Italian flag and the Scuderia Ferrari logo and in the middle " M.Schumacher Nr1 " and also on the right the German flag and the Scuderia Ferrari ,and my tyres are Bridgestone ( letters are in white like we saw it at the F1 races ) ,and at the backwindow was is a Big sticker with the Ferrari F1 car with behind the car the checkerd flag and at right corner below in a special way 7 stars with 7 times World Champion Michael Schumacher on it ,so some people have a unique photo of my car . I was getting back in my car and now i was on my way to the concierge to pick up my key for the house that i rented ..this way i don't have to drive up and down to my house ! The concierge gave me the key and a very short list with some short rules , she wished me a nice stay at the house and she also wished me good luck for the F1 and that Ferrari may win the F1 this weekend ( now is'nd that friendly from the concierge ) . So i drove to house witch is just 15 minutes away from the circuit . The location is just fantastic ,its high up the Mountain ,it's a park with other little houses around but it's soooo silend .....aaaah this is pure relaxing ( this would be a great place for a writer to write a book or novel ! ) I'm putting my car on the parking place and go to the house ( parking is just beneath the house ,so i have to do a couple of stairs before i'm at the house ) . I'm opening the door ,go inside and take a short look around ,after this i start to unload my car and bring the stuff in the house where i put it imediatly at the place(s) where it belongs .after all this is done i take a pen and paper open up the glas door to sit outside on balcony with a cold fresh beer ( i don't have to drive anymore today so i can drink one )and a bag salt chips and start to write this F1 dairy for the people who are interested for this F1 adventure of mine .Later on the day i prepare a meal and after eating and doing the dishes i'm going to watch some tv ...sadly i can't resieve Etv ( so no Gia for me these days ) , so it's just watching regular tv programs and later on i'm going to watch the dvd " Gone In 60 Seconds " , just to stay in the speed mood ..and after that i'm going to bed !Day 1 is over and out !
